steam problem

hey guys, only on dod do i get kicked from servers saying no logon, timed out, lost steam connection, but on cod, or css i get no problems. this has been going on for a few days. i tryed deleted files in my steam folder, i tried uninsalling, but nothing works. got any ideas???????:angry:

You could try to "verify integrity of game cache". That helps me sometimes.

i had a issue were all the servers would refresh when i booted up the game. Try to boot it up then stop all refresh for servers and then go to favorites and then play on one of those. I have to do that.

Hmmm i blame Steam. But if your problem has been going on longer i would just unistall steam, find any lingering files delete those too and do a fresh install.

Here is the reason why steam didnt work earlier:

If you want to get a game from Steam on Monday morning there's a good chance you won't be able to so. Valve has announced that its PC game download service will be offline for the most part on the morning of October 11 in order to do some software maintenance on Steam's server software.

The downtime is scheduled to begin on Monday at 4 am Pacific time (7 am Eastern time). Valve says the changes will cause things like the Steam store to be offline along with the matchmaking software and more. The upgrades to the server software should be completed by about 11 am Eastern time on Monday.

Also, for your disconnection problems, have you tried this, Goomba?

1. Close Steam
2. Go to your Steam Directory, "C:/Program Files/Valve/Steam" (or in whatever folder steam is installed)
3. Delete these three files:
* Steam.dll
* SteamUI.dll
* ClientRegistry.Blob

3. Restart Steam

The disconnection problem always occurs whenever steam installs a new dod:s / cs:s / tf2 / hl2 engine update.

if you are still having a prob do what Xiah said^^^. If you can find the files i should be on the servers tonight get me on steam. And dont worry, steam will re-dload them for you.

Yeah lke Xlah said you may need to delete your * ClientRegistry.Blob file that often fixes bout 90% of the problems.
