No, but it does open yourself up. When we play we *try* (but don't always succeed) to just keep quiet, and we tend to get trolled less. Just a thought.
But see, you need to interact with your team. In this game our team in general had a lot of connection issues and since no one else was doing anything and people were ready to just surrender I had to take a leadership role and tell them when to push and when to go kill the enemy team because they are doing baron and who to get which buffs etc. If I had just kept quiet we would have lost.
Yeah, what were you thinking Carmine? Everyone is the best player to ever play league of legends in that community. I mean, you should feel honored just to have them on your team. They obviously could have won a 3v5 because you and morgana were disposable. [/sarcasm]
Yeah I donno the LoL community is, not surprisingly, a lot like the DotA community. It's full of elitists. Your example is a bit more relaxed than what others including myself (and I'm sure you have) experienced. For this reason I exclusively play with eGO people.
However, the opposing team will still occasionally become hostile when they lose. Even without provocation. The funniest is when you win and they call you a noob. Honestly, I'd rather be a noob than lose to one.

The Morgana joke actually had some basis because the player disconnected and we then ambushed the enemy team 4v5 and aced them. The player then reconnected in time to help us ace them again and win the game.
I enjoy playing with fellow eGO members from time to time, but many are at low levels, and that just leads to imbalances in the skill levels of the players on the team which isn't fun for anyone.
/ignore is your friend
too lazy to actually ignore every person in the game
/ignore enemy
/ignore ally or team.
Not sure on the last one (But it ignores the enemy team/Your team)
