Fallout New Vegas

Two days? it came out today.

 Pirate?

Apparently not. Seen bunch of people playing New Vegas on 360 before today.

And I always thought it would be like Fallout 3 with the twist of Fallouts 1 and 2.

Can anyone give me their verdict on the game. Not trusting reviews scores on this game because so much more goes into there scores than what i care about. All i want to know is is it fun.

More of Fallout 3 but with some polishes (weapon upgrades, iron sights, etc)

But it's still as buggy as hell.

Unplayable buggy or Red Dead redemption Buggy

(Little bit of crude language here and there in the second video)

If it's like my installation of FO3, there're people who float around with their rears in the air (sitting position) and people whose heads turn upside down.

I've always loved the movie Exorcist so I'm down with that. :P
Ordered it today, can't wait nhghhrrrr.

The story is nice, the mechanics are better as you ADS and not just zoom when right click. Music is Vegas show music so it fits perfect. Graphics are the same, well some models look nicer.

You can gamble... @_@ :D!

Its pretty fun and only played 5 hours or so.

4 and half hours into it, it's actually pretty good. Surprising since I never truly liked Fallout 3.

My only complaint at the moment is the difficulty jump. It's a amazingly easy for the first 2 hours then instantly start throwing ghouls at you. Also the engine is a bit old, a handful of graphical bugs.

Will put up some footage of me failing a little later. Decided not to LP it, but just enjoy it first and maybe LP it later.

Heh, this game is pretty fantastic. Shame about some wonky performance issues. It's sucked my attention away for the whole day.

I've got near 3 and 1/2 hours play time in yesterday, the day I bought it.

In the RARE moment I actually like an RPG of any sort, I take it pretty slow.

I do 100% agree with the rather large & sudden difficulty increase. after a few hours your mostly fighting those stupid Geckos, a coyote heard, or very easy gun battles with enemy NPC'S, with inferior weapons just as you have.

5 minutes later you are liberating a town, up against some guy with a lot of health and a freaking flame thrower.. Very bothersome when your best weapon thus far is 357 magnum OR a crappy single-shot shotgun.

very minor issue though. Love this game.

Yeah it does start to get difficult...especially when you wander somewhere you're not supposed to be:scared:. I found some random cave & got mauled by a whole family of Deathclaws. It took me 7-8 times of getting killed before it respawned me without them right in my face...I almost thought I was going to have to load an earlier save file.

You guys are either bad or I don't know because I never really had a problem with the difficulty jumping. I seem to be able to get along fine with my .357 (fully maintained, with long-barrel mod).

About the bugs, I don't see them on xbox, are you guys playing on pc?

Yeah I'm playing on pc...I think that's part of my problem with the difficulty. I played FO3 on the xbox so I'm still trying to get used to the mouse & keyboard controls.
I haven't seen any bugs or glitches...yet.

Does FO:NV use GfWL? If so, then you can probably just plug in a 360 controller and it will work.

Anyway, sudden difficulty curves like that remind me of Fallout. Kill some radscorpions (Or something, I forget what), do noob stuff, head to Junktown, and OH MY GOD DEATHCLAWS.

k settle down. Saying there is a difficulty jump doesn't make you "bad".

Stumbling upon an area you probably shouldn't be visiting at an early level can be difficult.. I just think it's much easier to be done than in previous games like Oblivion and Fallout 3.

Anyway, I play on the PC. Vanilla.

Seems like it's a giant DLC for fallout 3, none of the textures or anything changed. All the reviews are saying not a whole lot has changed either. Guess it would be good if you haven't played fallout 3 and see those yet though.

Watched my friends stream and the only comparable difference I could see was new perks, buildings, weapons. Even the character models are the same but with different clothes. He ran into a dog that looked just like dog meat but with a different name.. :/
