Fallout New Vegas

Seems like it's a giant DLC for fallout 3, none of the textures or anything changed. All the reviews are saying not a whole lot has changed either. Guess it would be good if you haven't played fallout 3 and see those yet though.

Watched my friends stream and the only comparable difference I could see was new perks, buildings, weapons. Even the character models are the same but with different clothes. He ran into a dog that looked just like dog meat but with a different name.. :/

Speaking of which, I wonder how you get Dogmeat in this game. Or if they replaced him after years of being the dog companion.

If you look at it, They added a bunch of new items and a whole new storyline to Fallout 2. They may have reused a buch of new textures, but do you remember how long Fallout 3 was in creation? A few years, so redoing all the textures would of taken awhile, besides, these textures are know to be stable and they don't need to be tested as much for Alpha and Beta. I think its a great game and I am okay with them reusing the textures, meshes, and sounds, as long as they include new elements of gameplay.

I TOTALLY called it. Completely.

If it's like my installation of FO3, there're people who float around with their rears in the air (sitting position) and people whose heads turn upside down.

Not quite as tilted forward while floating as they were in my FO3, though.

Anyway, just got it...anyone else think that the last picture the guy shows you looks like two hermits/wizards high fiving? Should've included that option:biggrin_old:

Just from watching my bro play for half an hour, it looks like FO3 with more elements from FO and FO2(Traits! Ammo types!), more new RPG elements(DAM/DPS), and a BLUE SKY.

Basically, FO3+FO/FO2+Popular Mods (Weapon Mod Mod, Fellout)

heh, been playing this game like crazy since i got it.

I love this game, just as much as i like Fallout 3 and TF2. Heh, definately one of my GOTY this year.

Also, that video with the glitch is hilarious. Laughed real hard when i saw it.

Sadly, I could not laugh as hard as the fateful day I reported Burke, and he "gracefully" flew up and out of his chair and shot Mayor Simms. Just the style of the stereotypical evil guy in a suit! XD

In future games, I avoided Mayor Simms dying by killing Burke while they were talking. Made me feel better about myself.

FO:NV is like L4D2 for FO3. Some see it a a completely different experience; others a giant DLC... take it as you will. I enjoy NV a ton.

Fallout New Vegas... very well done, little different from fallout 3, but its still amazing... only lvl 11 but ive been switching with CSS and F:NV

Adding to this, DO NOT ADD 10MM MODS TO THE WEATHERD 10MM, all mods lead to annoying glitches, its for all versions of the game.

I checked vault-wiki, and comfirmed these myself. (for the ps3 at least)

Really early in Primm if you have enough Science or repair skills you can get a sweet eyebot thing named Ed-e( http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/ED-E )..Its not a dog but its awesome

im really getting into it, And its SO GOOD The fact you have companions, Ammunition saver or what? .
they do all the hard work! .
im only level 9 but im on the strip about to kick some ass (hopefully) .

You can have companions in Fallout 3 too. Overall I say 3 was better. This one's story just hasn't caught my attention yet.
