So I'm looking over these pictures and one thing keeps picking at my brain. I'm looking at screencaps of RED & BLU medics from different angles. I'm pouring over demos and action shots but I can't seem to put my finger on it. Then it hits me: that kitchen is entirely too clean!! WTH! I though you were in college! Pile some dirty dishes in the sink. NOW!

Nice costume btw

What about using a real hacksaw or something similar for a framework, wrapping it in masking tape or paper mache, then painting on the details?

because I can't take such things to school with me lmao.

But if the Ubersaw doesn't work out, the Bone Saw might be easier
Plus, if it gets to be really last minute you could always buy one of those Bob the Builder plastic saws

Yeah, I'm aware of some of the weapons restrictions on some campuses. I still think a trip to the hardware store could yield you a nice base. It's not a hacksaw if the blade is buried under paper mache. You could also score a cheap miter saw for $7 and grind the teeth off. In a pinch about ten minutes on the sidewalk should have it duller than a butter knife.

I would like to point out that real hacksaws have removable blades. That way you don't have to ruin a perfectly good saw blade, or even buy one for that matter.

Just buy a saw at the store; I've seen a bunch that look identical. Then just paint it with "red" blood.

I've decided how to finish the jacket, though, which involves sewing all the pieces together and removing the extra buttons. I wasn't going to do that before since it was a jacket I had bought (I was going to attach the top and bottom with buttons) but I changed my mind.
