I strongly Disagree, it repels some of the older players, but it also brought in a bunch of new players, plus people like me who updates like this are whats keeping me interested, without these updates I probably would have stopped playing a while ago. TF2 isn't close to dying. When they say their games are dying, they mean there are only 3-4 active servers in the first place, and I believe only about 150 people get on to play Insurgency daily. Its thousands, if not tens of thousands of people, for TF2.
 
I don't blame them, tf2 is better anyway, in my totally unbiased opinion of course.
