New Battlefield Game Revealed

Its not BF1943 for the PC, it probably isn't BF3 since thats already been announced. So what do yall think the new game will be?

Im hoping it will be a BF 2142 sequel with titan modes and everything.

The picture in the link has nothing to do with the new game, its just a placeholder picture g4tv took from BC2, as you can tell the picture was taken in port valdez and they look similar to the specact kits. The new game is more than likely not going to be another Bad Company title seeing how they are releasing vietnam for BC2 by the end of the year. So you can stop fretting about the picture, its not from the new game.

hmm sounds interesting, but since its the group from heroes, im not to hyped for it unless they do something incredible, heroes wasnt all that great to me, ya its free, and all that but just not my style. hope its good news tho

If its a completely new title like stated in the article, then it wont be related to any of the current franchises (Bad Company, Battlefield 1942/3, 2/3, 2142 or Heroes). It also doesn't necessarily indicate that it will be a FPS, plus this coming from the free to play "Heroes" team I wouldn't be expecting anything huge.

They never said the name "Battlefield" is not going to be in the next game. They actually said:

There's a new, unannounced Battlefield game coming. Ben Cousins of Easy, the company that runs the EA business unit behind MMO Battlefield Heroes, tweeted the news last night, posting:
"Flying to London later today to show a new, unannounced #Battlefield game to the press. News goes public on Friday. (NOT #BF3)"
When asked by a reader whether it was a PC version of Battlefield 1943, Cousins responded:
"Nope, it's a completely new title."
I'll leave the speculation to you guys, as we have nothing to really go on. But make sure you check back on Friday for the big, Battlefield reveal.

As you can read, they said it WOULD be a new Battlefield game, but it wouldnt be BF3, 1943, or BC3. When they said new title, they meant a title like Battlefield Kitchen or something like that so it will be a battlefield game just not a sequel to any that are out apparently

Sort of surprised EA would announce anything this close to BlackOps, as it would drown out most of any other FPS news.
Coming from the guys that did Heroes, I hope it's free but aimed at the current BC2 crowd.
