Recently in eGO's 24/7 dust server many people have been arguing to put decoy sprays (sprays resembling a Terrorist or CT) to be banned, arguing its unfair. Although i have no administrative power, I bring this to the forums hoping someone could help out. I agree with them that decoy sprays do seem unfair, and have seen good players killed because of them. Anyways, let me know what you think :)

Hey Cowboy, if you browse the forums a bit further, you'd find our other Decoy Sprays thread which is still ongoing discussion here

Please refrain from posting duplicate threads on the same topic in such a short space of time in the future. Feel free to make a post about this in the other thread.

However, the veridct on decoy sprays as given by our division leader:

Its smart use of game mechanics.

Some people use it for fun, some people use it for their benefit.

Simply something we wont restrict and admin in the servers.

cool thanks! sorry people were on me to do something about it! didnt think to check if it was already being discussed :)

it should be allowed because its great strategy to get your opponent off guard. as for people that get distracted its there fault for falling for it

If your pro enough... you'll know the difference between decoy sprays and an actual opponent.

True dat. I'm neutral again though, because I have a vengeance with 'em.

This is what I was gonna say. That is alright though Cowboy. Just go there and you can put in your input into that thread. :)

yea but when you go through a teleport and the wall infront of you has one It makes you jump!

I hardly see how you can have a hard time telling the difference between the two.

Granted I've been playing since the game first came out, but still! It just takes some common sense to tell the difference.

And if a noob thinks it's real and shoots at it, oh well.

a spray is a spray, if you want to ban a picture of a T or CT that is featured in the game you're playing, well then good luck :P

they're obviously not that good if they fall for a spray xD

I think they should be aloud because i dont think its hard to tell the diffrence

Maybe we should ban the default "target" spray, too. It makes perfect sense!

See, the target is something one is supposed to shoot.

But, I'm also supposed to shoot the enemy.

In order to make the game more "fair", the target spray should be banned. Along with anything else that could distract a player, including but not limited to:

- Any sort of phone within ear shot of a player
- Microphones in game
- People with tongues that have not been cut-out and\or working voice boxes in ear shot of a player
- Loud vehicles passing the building a player is playing in
- Loud planes and helicopters flying overhead
- Door bells in the building a computer is located that a player is using to play
- Pets, children or anything else that requires attention anywhere even remotely nearby
- Textures and surfaces in-game that are not completely blank and white, as they may resemble colors used on player models or the color of a muzzle flash
- System fans and hard drives that make noise in the computer used for gaming
- Keyboards and mouses that "click" when used
- Speaking\shouting at the game by the actual players as they may accidentally distract themselves
- Obligations, these tend to distract players as well
- The sound of gun fire as it distracts players from the sound of the rear-approaching footsteps of a knife wielding enemy
- Clever or funny player handles, especially ones that make you think
- The chat box. Way too much in the way of distracting text
- Server\forum spam to remind players of rules and to encourage them to join forums
- Thoughts that are of anything besides game play including but not limited to war, global affairs, hunger, sex, socioeconomic issues, MTV, NASCAR, American Idol, relationships and how delicious Funyuns are
- Steam community pop-ups in game
- Most if not all of the Heads Up Display
- The kill display in the upper right-hand corner
- The "reload" button
- The scoreboard
- The "~" console
- Bodily functions, especially the need to pee and the feeling of hunger

This is just a post-it note sized version. Truthfully, the list is much longer and rife with things tormenting innocent gamers.

Next week, we need to find a way to ban this devious "ping" everyone is speaking of. People teleporting several feet away, long enough for me to aim at them, and then back to where they should be as I start shooting where they just were, oh boy, THATs distracting.

If we are vigilant and vanquish these mighty e-terrorists, we can move forward and tackle our ultimate enemy... the dreaded... the hated...

the post above me... is an epic win. eGO arent just gonna ban people for using decoy sprays on their servers...

Doubtful they would MOTD it either..

Regulation loses members, which is typically directly proportional to the number of people donating, which is the point of having an organized gaming community. Get other people to help pay for servers so you can finally play on a server that has rules that you like and gives you instant authority in any situation.

Its WAAAY better than pubbin.
