WELLL...

I need a new desktop... i'm basicly looking for the "best bang for you buck" deal because im a student and dont have much to spend...


soo. if you want to have some fun building a computer online and helping a guy out..... only rules are.... the total hast to be less then $700 preferably around $600... I've been playing around with cyberpoweredpc for a while and they have some goood early black Friday sales!!! soo if you'd like to help me out that would be great! The only thing i don't need is a Power Supply... lol sadly... haha SO GO GO GO! and thanks in advance! :)

Please post the specs up and/or helpful ideas and yada yada yada... i know this clan is full of tecks... or PM me a link to the GAMING RIG you built : )

You might be able to find a little bit better of a deal... but I doubt it... THIS is what I do when I build a PC, best bang for the buck... You could save $50 and go with a Phenom II X2 instead though.

It would help if you posted what power supply you will be using. I'll give it a go assuming its an average unit like mine: 600W, multi 18a rails.

I'll post back with a rough draft :)
 
Its a pretty good 550w Power Supply. its basically as high as i cant go because i live in an old house with 2 circuit breakers so blowing fuses is a big problem.. :(

idk, the 955 is a really sweet core for the price, if i go with anything other than a 955 it would be a Phenom II x3 720, because u can unlock the 4th core on some models, but as this link explains.... http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/251526-29-unlock-core-phenom ... you need a nicer mobo, and there still is the possiblity that the 4th core wont unlock, and also on newegg the part has been discontinued, (not that you couldnt still get it obviously) and again we are talking bang for buck, new the Phenom II x3 720 is about $120 used $90 but $32 for a new 955 is well worth the added performance, link to benchmarks http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/.../3DMark-Vantage-Overall-Performance,2416.html
