Pistol sound not working

Before reading the below post, please remember I posted here because it only has this problem in TF2.

So, before the Mann-Conomy update, I had a load of awesome skins. When the update came, it broke a few. I recently tried changing my pistol skin, but when I try to revert it has no fire sound (but still has has reload, etc.).

I've deleted my "game sounds manifest" files, and also the sound (.wav) files themselves, but it just doesn't do a thing. I hope I should have to nuke the whole folder just for this one issue.

you gotta nuke it, its the only way.

Get rid of your sounds folder.
It is in your
steamapps\<your username>\team fortress 2\tf

Nuke it from orbit, its the only way to be sure
