Allied Fleets Spotted off English, Spanish Coasts
Decrypted reports from scattered German intelligence outposts suggest that the Axis have become aware of three heavily armed Allied armadas currently at sea in and around Europe. One fleet is said to be fueling up and loading cargo off the English coast. The other two are already en-route to destinations accessible via the Mediterranean Sea, circling around the Spanish coastline. All indications point to a widespread, general Allied Invasion.
German communications have escalated into a flurry of activity. Specifically, Allied spies have noticed increased readiness levels of Wermacht forces at key coastal fortifications. It is still unclear where the Allied attack may occur but loose-lipped Allied soldiers have let spill several "codename" objectives that are surmised to reveal possible landing sites. One such name is "Omaha", a widely speculated reference to a French coastline, another "Rommel", alluding to the Desert Fox and a possible attack on German-held Africa. Several references to traditional pizza and pasta may suggest an Italian target. Of note, analysts assert the town of Anzio would be a strong candidate for invasion.
At their reported courses, and given the probability of attack for the targets mentioned above, the Allied fleets would reach African and Italian territory in close to 30 hours. It is suspected that the attacks will commence simultaneously so as to generate confusion among German High Command.
It seems the great Land War in Europe is to begin this weekend. Now is the calm before the storm. Prepare yourselves.
