Guess what Allies!

Also remember IF America did not enter you would have jets fighting in the air and the axis did developed an Atom bomb. But America did enter and thus axis did not win but IF they did not Britain would have fallen.

its hard to tell what would happen with the atom bomb so its best to leave that with the experts.... as for jets, so? britain had our own jets too, developed by ourselfs at the same time, or did you not know about that too? the gloster meteor, look it up

thats why im talking about what happened before america joined the war.... or is that not real to you guys? just pointing out what dutch said to be completely false thats all ;) i hope to clear some ignorance from your minds :facewall:

its hard to say america had not entered the war prior to the battle of britain. The amount of material sent to both britain and russia through the lend-lease program prior to an official declaration of war from the US kept citizens of the two nations from starving to death

100% true, but dutch said that had japan not attacked the US, germany would of won so im assuming everything that happened before that still went on, including lend-lease, which wasnt free, we had to pay for that so it benifitted the US as well as britain an russia

well yea if japan did not attack us the whole war would have been completely different. Sure we sent supplies but back in the time most of America did not want to fight in the war.

Not according to what TMZ reporters found yesterday:

Dude, Power Puff Girls rock. That's another reason why Axis is gonna WIN!

lol, you realise britain won the battle of britain before america was even in the war, heres a passage from wikipedia since im too lazy to bother saying this myself

Wikipedia? Really? Yet another reason why the Allies shall lose: they use freaking Wikipedia.

But in all seriousness, good luck to both teams!

yeah, 2 reasons i quoted wikipedia.

1, much quicker than looking up the countless ww2 books scattered around my house for a quick summary and

2, to prove how easy this kind of information is to get and so dutch can look it up himself and know im not making this up

yes the war would have been different, but the US would have entered the war officially, regardless of Japan. As for public US opinion during 1939 most were against the war effort, but each year that gradually changed towards supporting the war. Its not like the majority of people in the US prior to pearl harbor were against aiding democracies abroad. In 1941 the public opinion was split about 50/50 according to polls.

The president of the US at the time, Franklin D. Roosevelt, wanted troops sent to Europe long before pearl harbor. Roosevelt had also promised Churchill in a formal agreement to open up a western front in Europe against Hitler. It was going to happen, regardless of pearl harbor, it was just a matter of "when".

Also if the Axis did not attack Russia it could have been worse off. If that happened the war would have been worse then what it was in reality.

Everything Bad Brain and Dutchoper72 have said about WWII and America's involvement following the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

Cannnnn you feeeeel the ignorraaaaaance tooooniiiiiight?....it is wheeerrrreee we arrreeeee....

"British would have lost the war if the 'Japs' hadn't attacked the US"...

False.

The German Luftwaffe did have a considerable run of terrorizing Allied ships and overpowering air superiority, but that is mainly due to an increased size and militarily-trained force upon the start of the war. However, these were decreasing well before the US entered the war, as British production soon passed that of the Germans. Before Pearl Harbor, the UK was already cranking out more ships AND aircraft than the Germans. German attacks were reduced, and--as Bad Brain correctly stated--British bombers were already striking mainland Europe before our involvement. The British had control over the Middle East and, therefore, nearly outproduced the entire Axis forces in total oil production--something Germany was beginning to have issues with. They were inching towards the oil fields from North Africa, but the British did a good enough job in overall defense and counterattack of the region that the eventual US landings were essentially superfluous.

British had produced jet craft, though not to the specs of the German productions. Also, British bombers were increasing in amazing strides. This, combined with new, brilliant, tactics in shared/split responsibility of bombers (which were eventually adopted by the Americans in our bombing runs) lead to greatly reduce the impact of the EVENTUAL (remember they were still late in the war) terror the German jets INITIALLY caused.

Simply put, before we got involved, things were becoming more stable for the United Kingdom against the Germans.

That doesn't even factor the USSR into the equation. The Germans screwed up royally in Russia, even though they quite nearly did break Moscow AND Leningrand AND Stalingrad. However...Russia is more than just those three (large) cities. Russians had (sorry to sound cruel about it) more bodies to throw at the Germans than they could know how to deal with. They were cranking out tanks and weapons beyond what the Germans thought was possible. Their oil and steel production downright put the entire combined Axis forces to shame. The great German Luftwaffe was getting thrashed in Russia. They moved through Eastern Europe so swiftly that...really any Allied invasion on Western Europe is more than likely something that wouldn't even have been necessary to defeat the Germans.

Seriously.

Also, none of this even factors in the seemingly-inevitable self-collapse of their forces due to unstable-at-best leadership.

Oh yeah--one more thing...Germans did not ever produce atomic bombs. Dunno where you heard this but it's...well...just plain false. True, they were producing like crazy, but let's not forget that all of those Manhattan Project guys that defected, took all of that genius with them, trashed some stuff in their wake, and that the Germans just plain never got anywhere near the production part that US had.

......your way off. towards the end of the war Hitler made a knock off of the A Bomb. He never had a chance to use it.

I don't know about that. The allied ships really only had problems with u-boats, and that ended once centimetric radar was introduced. The luftwaffe did not have the organization nor the planes with fuel capacity and bases to stage effective raids against the allied shipping convoys. Perhaps British convoys to and from the colonies in Africa were hit by luftwaffe occasionally, but the only shipping route that kept Britain in the war was the US route to Britain.

The luftwaffe had superiority on mainland europe and over the channel, but anything west of the channel the spitfires controlled with the help of radar.

Blue, I was referring to the sea raids with the Luftwaffe. They fought like hell for the island fortress in the Med just to be able to disrupt ships there.

Lol you forgot "Mickey Mouse" and "Dora the Explorer." Real solid sources there. Also...they only "they had a bomb" clearly stated there was a "really crude device even by that day's standards. Not even able to be transported on or dropped by plane."

Seriously? Here's the thing. Making an "atomic bomb"--as in the "atomic bomb" it sounds like they had--is easy. If you have the parts, you can do it. It's like throwing the ingredients from cookies in a bowl and calling them cookies. TECHNICALLY, they are. All of the piece are there. Making an atomic bomb, however, the Germans did not. They couldn't even load and implement it?

Congrats, Nazi Germany, you have an atomic paperweight.

If it can blow up and cause the A bomb damage its a a bomb.

thats not the point, you said it would be the end of britain or cause them to surrender.... in the form that it was in i dont see how that would be possible

"Just so long as the entire British military wanders into this building and sets it off..."

"OMG I can't believe they did it!!! British FAIL"

...

To a point, Dutch is right.

If the Axis had set off an Atomic Bomb (Or their version of, the nicknamed "Atomic Paperweight") then its very reasonable the the British would have surrendered, IF it was in a major city, like London, or another important British City, or port. Britain was being ravaged by Air Raids almost every night, a bomb like that would have been overly devastating.
