I have a 2nd gen iPod Touch 8gb mp3 player & wanting it to connect to my wireless router so I can download more games. However, since upgrading to the junk iOS 4 (or w/e u wanna call it), I cant seem to capitalize the letters anymore. Anyone else have this issue? Any idea on how to correct the issue?

If it were possible, I would say to go back to previous versions, but since Apple failed and stopped signing their firmware or w/e, you can't go back. I'm not sure what you can do. Maybe try checking your keyboard settings on there?

Is it jailbroken? If so, is it jailbroken by redsn0w 0.9.6?

My iPhone completely failed after jalibreaking, update to the newest version

never attempted 2 jailbreak it. never really found a reason 2 do that in the 1st place.

@iSimon & iOprah - Since Apple released their new iOS mobile operating system for the iPhone and iPod Touch, you can no longer restore the device. They stopped signing the firmware in an attempt to stop jailbreaking and unlocking their devices. The only way to restore the device is if you have SHSH Blobs saved via Cydia, which is an app you can only get by jailbreaking the device.

.. I reread that before I clicked add reply... I sound like a total nerd... x.x

You can't restore it to the newest fireware by clicking restore? I'm not saying restore it back to 3 just restore it back to 4.X (whatever is the newest).

Well I called tech support & they said that more than likely itll need to be completed flushed & restarted. That I wont have an issue w/. My biggest prob is that ill have to drive 45-50 mins to Austin to get the issue resolved. There are 2 stores in the San Antonio area, but apparently neither of them have the tools available to take care of my issue, which is sad. You would think 1 of the stores would have that kinda technology around, but according to the tech guy, they dont. Im still gonna waste the gas to go to 1 of the stores & find out & if they dont have it, have them call the other store to see if the other store has it or not. If neither stores has it, then ill drive an hour or so to Austin to get the fix.

Mail it to them :)

Give them the PID, ect... And they'll either fix it or they'll give you a brand new iTouch :)

I beg to differ. I upgraded to iOS4 on my 3G and I hated it so I rolled back to 3.1.2 to have tethering on my device. Also, I dual boot Android and iOS now, and I will prolly be usuing Android as my primary OS when I resolve the DNS issue. Also, playing pokemon on my phone is always a good time killer :)
