Benchmarking Thread!

I might have to go back to 10.10e.......voltage control is not here with 11.1...... what gives
 
Running these benchmarks at 1280x720 is going to introduce a pretty good cpu bottleneck on these benchmarks... the resolution needs to be at least 1920x1080/1200 (I guess we could do 1600, but 1920 is really the new standard) to really test gpu strength on today's cards. Watch your cpu load and gpu load when running at different resolutions or do some reading about it if you want to learn more.
 
I would love to do it at at least 1680x1050, but not everyone has a monitor that supports that.
Trust me, we've been doing this for 10 weeks. We have a system in place. lol.
 
I agree with the res increase. If you do not have a monitor that is at least 1680x1050, then benching your computer is the least of your worries. FPS of 200-300 is getting old.

Also, who does not have at least a 1680x1050 display?

Or, we can do 2 or 3 resolutions for those that have larger resolutions. People already run the bench multiple times, so that should not be a problem.

how it there a bottleneck? I would call it more a a dependency. It's not like the low res makes your cards not output the most they can.

3dmvantage/06/05/03 all run at 1024x768. 3dm11 is at 1280.


I don't have a 1080p monitor, an i would say a vast majority of the people on this site don't

All benches are run at low resolutions.

I'm pretty sure that since my CPU is at least 2x as fast as Junks, and my GPU is about the same, it shows that this really isn't all that CPU dependent.


THIS BENCH IS SUPPOSED TO RUN AT 200+ FPS, IT ISN'T THAT INTENSE OF A GAME.

3dm11 runs at 1280x720.
Every other bench runs at 1024x768
The Entry level (which you have to pay to run) is at 1024x768
 
So... I think it's new poll/thread time.
What bench to do next week...

Somthing I learned:
for crossfire to work, it must be full screen.
Video card OC actually hurt my score (I only experimented with 50hz core on both cards).
