Hey guys, I've watched a few videos on Garen, and I was curious since he's on sale for the next 40ish hours if he's a good character. I have enough to buy him, but I'm a noobie to be honest. So I want your opinions if he's a good buy! Just tell me the goods and bads. From what I seen he's an aggressive champion to play, which is a style I enjoy :)

He is a good champion, definitely less powerful than he used to be, but still effective when stacking sunfires with a force of nature.
 
He's a good champ, build him him like a tank/offtank and he can survive forever, kill people pretty easily, and farm pretty easily too.
 
Is he worth the 292 RP though? :) I wanted to start playing this game again! I think when I left I was only 6-4.

About 2 months before HoN wasn't a F2P I started playing this game a bit but just against bots to pass time. I was tired of the champs I had to play so I bought some RP and I have 405 left over! So I wanna use it!
 
Use that rp for skins, not champions!
You can always get the champion for free using ip, but its the skins that cost the rp.
Find a champ you like and wait until a sale witha skin you like is in it.

But thanks for the tip on testing him out Camp Commando. I actually enjoy'd playing him. Granted it was a training game and I'm pretty sure is designed to let you win. But I do enjoy playing :)
 
Well I only have thirteen games against people online under my belt 8-5. All which are not with people I know :/ Buuut I've realized that you can get IP pretty darn fast. I've also come to not like playing Twisted Fate. Due to a bad game I had. 3-7-8 :/

Alas I think I'm going to hold off on getting Garen. Simply because I played against him yesterday. On the other team. I played Twisted Fate and I went 2-0-8. The other team got steam rolled, and especially Garen. I laned with Heimerdinger which was an odd, but good team. I yellow carded the guy while he threw down his turret, then threw a nade which stunned them and we wailed on the poor soul.
 
ya you don't want to wast rp on champions unless you get the packs like the one with 6k char some skins are low like scuba Gragas

I am glad! Its nice that they added that. Specially for Ryze too. I love RYZE!
 
if you want epic lawls with garen, run full flat AD runes and spin away. you will WRECK
