What would give Casino Cash, or some form of virtual currency, value to you?

i like the idea that casino cash could be hopefully soon made into currency where eGO branded items to be got in real life like mugs ect.....and think that the currency could be used also to higher the event server for an hour like for minigames amungst friends ect.....

Zazzle would be nice but it'd turn eGO into a gifts redemption site with everybody joining up JUSt for the prizes if you know what I mean. I would much rather buy the items in the first place.
Events and forum upgrades sound good though.

I like all the ideas except for use in the Zazzle store. Does nobody remember the grand liability of the eGO Hoodies? I mean, I love my hoodie, and I'm wearing it RIGHT NOW because I'm in Minnesota and it's cold in my cube at work, but I also remember the vent meetings about how the clan ended up with a loss at the end of the day.

Real cash transactions should exist for the sole purpose of keeping servers alive. Allowing Casino Cash to buy real goods will just end up as a loss leader, especially as there's no cost for me to generate cash!

couldnt the casino cash be used to "rent" the server and allow the rentee to pick a map / settings for his/her rental??

The ability to purchase a larger inbox or other forum features also strikes me as a good idea.

Here's an idea: purchase server announcements. So when I join an eGO server, the console would tell the server:

"AutoDMC, grand poobah of Turbine, has joined this server!" or whatever custom message I bought.

A custom badge, under the avatar that could be purchased would also be neat.

I'd pay to have some extra pixels in my signature. I'd like to add one more line of text, but I'm just out of room.

Does VBulletin allow for custom widgets? It would be neat to be able to purchase custom widgets for the right and left columns. Show a list of your favorite servers, or your HLXStats, right in the forum without having to seek out special pages.

The biggest problem I see with CC as a monetary system, however, is that most of the ideas I hear really should fall under the "Dedicated Supporter" camp. Dedicated Supporter is a revenue stream for the clan, whereas CC is more of a revenue sink. I shouldn't ever have a choice between paying for DS status or buying stuff with the CC... they should compliment each other.

For example, IMHO, any "casino cash allowance/stipend" should go to Dedicated Supporters for putting real cash to keep servers alive on the line.

Here's a crazy, TL;DR IDEA: HLX Stock Market! Every user has 1000 shares which can be bought and sold. I could buy 100 shares in HWG, and whenever he pwns noobs I make cash! Eh? Eeeeehhhh?

I like all the ideas! Sometimes it's hard for some of us to get casino cash however, which makes me sad :-(

This just means you're not on Turbine enough... there happens to be a screenshot bounty taking place over there...

I do like the idea of using Casino Cash for something else too other than things like sigs/avatars, contest and bounties. It doesn't feel right to exchange any CC for the Zazzle products though, even though it would be awesome. There should still be a different between real and virtual money.

Forum perks or anything else would be neat though. If it could be tied to something like vB Store where you can buy thread stickies, custom titles, colored names or CT's and whatever else. That's just an example though.

Personally I haven't cared that I have CC up to this point because there is nothing i can do with it that interests me. The zazzle trade in for real products is something I definitely would start caring about CC and actually try to earn CC to get hoodies, Mugs, Mousepad, etc..., but I don't see how eGO could do this without sliding down the financial spiral as far more people would be trading in CC for real goods than people put money in to eGO. From what I understand we are always struggling to pay the bills as it is, so I do not see how we could afford to buy stuff for people for essentially doing nothing of value for the community to generate money to offset the costs associated with this.
I do not agree with special treatment during matches to be able to be bought with CC as it would put people at a disadvantage that do not have the time to dedicate to making lots of CC due to work, families, church, etc...
Extra goodies for the website and forum sounds like a good idea as well, although I would want the things I buy to be permenant for me. It would make it worth my time to earn CC to buy wider/taller signature space to make it look the way I like if it was permanent, but if it is only temporary and I forever have to earn CC to keep that perk, then it is no longer worth my time as it is a never ending drain on my time at that point where I can never get ahead.
The opportunity to reserve a server with password and admin to have the world settings the way you want should cost a lot and would be an awesome idea. I would love to get all my friends on the same team as me for once, no vehicles, remove RPG's from engineers, limit snipers to 2 per team and have hardcore settings and play like that. That would be a well spent sum of CC and would make me very intent on earning CC!!
I'm sure there are many other good ideas we can come up with that will not cost our community unneeded overhead pulling us farther to the red financially that would make more people excited about earning CC. I would really like to know how the zazzle trade in for goods would be worked out though if we can swing it because that would be my favorite and first pick for sure if it's plausible!!
