I will be graduating in May with a degree in Computer Engineering, and the job hunt starts now. I have a resume which was at least good enough last year to get me an interview for a CO-OP. They interviewed only 12 out of 200 apps. Too bad I did not make the final cut.

Specifically, I am wondering if there is anyone out there who has a job as an engineer and might be able ot give some pointrs to a job seeker. I am not really looking for resume help, or suggestions by those in my situation as much as hearing from someone with experiance with the follow through.

I am currently most likely going to be applying to General Electric, BAE Systems, the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, and possibly Electric Boat. I am still searching for more business to apply for however, I am limited to my desire to live in a cirtain area.

I am really hoping to get an interview from BAE and GE - I just figured that with over 3000 registered users from all ages, perhaps someone here has experiance with these businesses or as an Engineer.

Thank you in advance.

Congratulations :) Good luck where ever you go!

I haven't had much experience with other jobs, considering I, with my Father, have a business of our own. Because I just started my Engineering classes in College, I don't have enough experience to apply to any of those, but my father said that Working for the Naval yard around here was the most benifitial of all his other engineering jobs (not counting the Business).

But whichever interests you the most you should apply for.
Good luck, and have fun!
