I am fixing a Gateway m-73 laptop and I am trying to install XP on it, I can not find a AHCI driver which is needed for the install. The Gateway website only provides windows 7 and windows vista drivers, the issue I am having is it gives me the following error: STOP: 0X0000007B (0xF78d2524,0XC0000034,0X00000000, 0X00000000) The error happens when I am booting from my Windows XP sp1 CD, I have tried a regular XP CD, to no avail, and it happens right when it says something along the lines of "Loading windows" at the bottom of the screen.
I am pretty sure this is related to me not being able to load AHCI drivers. Any help?
