I think to prevent this problem there should be a part in the application; 13) Please explain the rules in the eGO Community, in your own words. If they fail, they should get declined.

Jay Flip is right. Lately i have seen many e's from our clan not following the rules. I just dont understand why they dont read the rules like there supposed to when they fill out an app to join.

For those of you complaining about e's: The way our clan recruits and picks members allows many people of many different personalities and attitudes to join. As long as they don't have a ban record and can follow the application template, they're good to go. If you see an e acting in a way that isn't appropriate in our servers and the admins aren't handling it, feel free to add them to Steam to remind them of the rules that they agreed to follow when they joined. If they ignore you or simply don't care what you have to say, and continue to violate the rules, use the drop box to report them or file a ban request. This clan is quite large, and every single member cannot be constantly monitored by an admin or leadership member to make sure they are behaving.

For those of you complaining about our admins: We have a lot of admins. A lot. And yes, they are not all perfect. Many, once they receive their G or O, barely check the website more often than the required once a month. We have too few leadership to monitor all of them, so help do your part by reporting them via the drop box, or if there is a situation that needs immediate attention, try to contact an advisor to come into the server to quell the disturbance.

I will leave this thread open for further discussion, but please keep flaming out of sight or your post will be edited/deleted.

I completely agree with you Mr Cryptex. Incase some of the e's are offended, I would like to apologies. Well, The main point here is.... Nobody's Perfect

eGO has a strict w/k/b policy that is not as strictly enforced as it should be. Not to long ago, there were no second chances given. Our rules are simple, follow them, or play someplace else.

We recruit as many members as we can so that we may weed out the players that will be good for the community. If a member is banned because he didn't read the rules, then that's his problem that he will take up with leadership. We hold our members to a higher standard because it's expected that they have read the rules, and do not need to be warned.

I would guess that most people are banned because when they are warned, they think someone is denying them their constitutional rights or something of free speech when, in fact, you give up your right to free speech when you sign that little waver that pops up on your screen when you join the server. Also, the ESRB gets to rate the game, but they do not rate online play. We make the rules for the server, not the ESRB.

Admins are human and make mistakes just like everybody else, but they are in a position of power because leadership saw that they were mature enough to handle it. There are MANY ways to put an admin's power in to question, but people want to get an answer now because they are impatient, so they yell and scream and kick like they are five years old, and that leads to a ban.

Again, the rules are simple, and if you don't want to follow them then you had best make your way to another server, because we won't tolerate continuous rule breakers.

I agree problems are on both ends, but I think using more transparency when it comes to the entire process would help reduce the problem greatly.

The problem is not so much E's questioning admin's, it's them doing it in public chat or over the most minor of issues.

If an e needs to make a dropbox, it's hard to do so if it's just allchat, which doesn't id the admin giving the warning in many cases.

Complicating matters is the fact that in some cases, there is a thin blue line. Members can observe problems and not want to dropbox or report, fearing retaliation or unwanted scrutiny/targeting in the future.

I wanna bring up one thing from the DOD:S division, like 2 or so months ago one of the eGO's was noticing how all of the e's were being banned or breaking rules. And he suggested that it was not just a couple but alot of the e's were doing it.
