If you for all cost can avoid the Valve customer service. Do so. Anything started with them is bound to take forever.

You cannot merge Steam accounts unfortunately. I have 2 accounts also and it can get annoying switching back and forth to play certain games, but I'm pretty good at it now so it's not so bad, haha.

The only decent aspect of having multiple accounts is that if a game is shared between the accounts, say Half-Life, then you only have to install the game once on the hard drive, as the other account will just use the core game files from the original installation.

Nope. Cant merge and steam wont do it for you

If I remember what I read in the EULA, you're only supposed to have one STEAM account as it is.

Valve=Terrible customer anything.

Agreed, the won't help you at all; and it is impossible to do that, sorry.

Other than resetting passwords, "hacked" accounts, CD key issues, and a few other things - what do you want them to do? Valve is not a company like EA that can throw money at support representatives.

With millions of players, what do you really expect? Besides, I have never encountered an issue that requires Valve support. I don't lose my passwords, I don't lose my CD keys, and I don't get my account hacked.

Anything HLDS/SRCDS related I usually bypass Valve support and e-mail their developers directly anyway..

I don't know maybe support their games? They make money off every purchase made through steam, so they do have money, its not like they're offering a free service. If you look in my thread about their response to my map issue you will see what I am talking about.

actually there are very easy and good to deal with i have contacted the developers regarding bugs and fix's for srcds and i have contacted them to make patches to alien swarm.

and they did what needed to be done and were easy to contact.

Supporting games is one thing. Breaking an EULA (if it's in the EULA) and having multiple accounts - that's different. It's probably more of a headache to merge accounts. I myself had two accounts, but gave one to my brother.

Yep, I agree. I contact their developers directly for issues, bugs, or suggestions regarding HLDS/SRCDS. Posting on the mailing list is actually the best type of support because a lot of the PR and devs post on the mailing list too.
