Bowling

I am a pretty avid bowler now. I have been playing in leagues for the past few months, after a 10-year break from youth leagues. I usually bowl twice a week in the leagues, and once or twice for practice on the weekends.

Here is what I use:

Anyone else here bowl more than just recreationally?

I remember the days i used to bowl with the kids rolling thing, the thing that keeps it straight for you, as i was absolutely useless! I watch professional bowling now and again, I think it's amazing what they do with the spin of the ball, can you do all of that stuff?

For the most part, yes. I used to bowl straight at the pins but after starting this league and picking up my new ball, I have taught myself to put a hook on the ball.

Obviously, I have nowhere near the technique or finesse of the pros, but I have a respectable throw and a good average for an amateur with this being my first real season.

I cried when I saw this thread because it has more replys than mine already...

I use an old old old Brunswick Combat zone and a Tropical Storm. I also have a Storm Natural but it needs to be re-drilled and plugged.

I average about 175. What about you?

lol, i average like 110.. as i just recreational bowl, for a bit of fun with my mates.. Wish i could get good at it though, putting hook on the ball looks amazing!

If I ever get the chance to go bowling I drive there and end up walking into the ODEON Cinemas because of the smell of popcorn.
