So, I've been throwing around the idea of having some bi-weekly 6v6 scrims like we have during the TF2 Summer League this Winter/Spring. I think they're insanely fun and can explain how they work a bit more for anyone who doesn't already know. How many of you would wish to participate in something like that?

If pubs were allowed and we had a while to prepare and mesa was involved the answer is yes.

I mean..
Sounds fun, I'd participate ;)

If pubs were allowed and mesa was not included, I'd be interested.

I would suggest, and its only a suggestion that you guys teach them how to play and that they learn the roll out first (myself included) before having 6v6 games other wise getting rolled by a team that knows what they are doing is likely to happen. If you guys are willing to teach us this and the role of the classes used I would be willing to give it a shot and participate, if not then count me out. So for now count me undecided.

Yeah, I have some videos and will have a "tips and hints" thread and class to go with it, similar to what we had before the league, I wouldn't be throwing people into the deep end without first teaching them how to swim :).

P.S. As a side note, this would not be team based, it would be a "first 12 people to join + team scramble, here we go!" thing, or a thing where you sign up for each one in advance with a preferred class and are assigned a team and class, so we won't have team rivalries and drama going on.

If I didn't suck so badly I would do it. I mean, I can do well in a match with many of our members, but people like Super88, Wilson and Rene who've been playing competitively always own me. :( Give me a year to get good, and then ask me.

I have done competitive play, and it's insanely fun but entirely different from normal tf2. My problem is, between my work schedule and school my tf2 time is sporadic at best.

actually I'd rather prefer the team scramble thing, that sounds really fun :D

I would be for it, but my schedule is also sporadic. Also, it seems like teams would develop strategies/communication better, but that's my few cents (I'm almost out)!

How do we determine the teams? Something like the squad rush tourney?

I'd be into it if the teams were, in fact, random, but I couldn't even come close to committing to anything organized. full courseload + job + gf = roughly zero time.

If it was placed as an event, i.e. every [x]day at [y]'oclock, I'd be all over it. team+organization means I wouldn't.
