Ok When I came back from a Thanksgiving Party My Brother tolled me the monitor Got weird and The Color Changed for a sec and he smelled Burning from My monitor And I just notice That The Crack got Bigger

And My Computer fan got Very Loud and i shut it off and then it says safety Thing and some Programs might of gotten deleted So Im not to sure whats going on and if my pc breaks down ill be Back ASAP

This really should be in tech help but, anyways.... It sounds like the monitor just went bad, it looks like its pretty old so It would be expected. However the thing about the fans should have nothing to do with a crack on your screen.

95% of CRT monitors use VGA/D-Sub connections to display video. Why do you need his graphic card information? It's quite rare to find a CRT Monitor that uses DVI. I've seen a couple of them though.

You could also ask at your school or with consumer relations at a local hospital (tech companies too & PC repair shops have CRTs for wicked cheap too). Many of them run through tech gear like it's water and just try to get rid of older stuff to save storage space!

I got TEN 17" HP LCD's (L1706) for free two weeks ago because the hospital I live near was cycling them out in exchange for newer 20" widescreens. I would've sent one your way had your issue happened before I sold them all on ebay lmao...

I dunno how prevalent the resources would be in your case but you could always try (seems more and more companies are leasing tech equipment at this point to keep their shrink down so it may be harder)!
