Congrats man, third place for your first tournament is awesome! Sorry if you don't mind me say but you look kind of small for a 135, what weight do you walk around at? Then again I'm a very awkward size for my class 6ft. walk around 130 but I wrestle 125. You had some nice double leg shots in there. Keep it up man wrestling is a great sport in high school I learned a lot about myself through it.

Niice man. You're a good scrapper. I wish some of my wrestlers where were a bit like that(im a coach btw)

now there's one thing that's bothering me in this video...get off your knees XD full weight on your opponent is a must..also Lol for locking violation:#

Very nice form. You deserved your place. I agree with Sandman though, you look about as big/tall as me, and I was in 112s...you certainly look a bit small for 135s. ;)

Thanks! :D

Before we started conditioning for wrestling I was 130, I'm 5'6 and weight 133 now. I was trying to go 130's but didn't have enough time to drop. :P

2 pounds isn't bad to wrestle up. Last year when I was a '19 I had to wrestle up to '30 for a meet because of the dumb body fat percentage rules they have. Now THAT sucked.

Also glad to see some wrestlers in eGO.

Nice. I'm doing my first year of varsity. I wrestled last year for junior high in 8th grade. I can't compete well, as a 9th grader, against seniors. I get my ass kicked. Good match and good tournament.

Also I've have a lot of success with NOT locking up on the whistle. Shoot your arms up as if you are going to lock up, and I guarantee you he will stand up, flinch, and raise his arms to lock up. You should have a second or two to shoot before he realizes you didn't.

I'm 152, about 5'5. Very stocky though. I started off as a little 180 lb ball of fat last year and I'm down to about 15-16% BF this year. Hope I can go 135.

Thats going to be a tough jump. 152-135 at %15 bf. You're going to have to be pretty consistent with your weekly loss. I don't know about other states but they're pretty strict about it here. I'm about %8 bf and weighed in at 126 lbs for the certification, they won't let me go '25 until I've gone at least 2 meets at '30.

Yea, for us I think it is 1.5% of bodyweight per week. I made 146.8 last week, so next will probably be 142-143.

Yeah it sucks for the skinny guys like me, I always get stuck with wrestling the short stocky guys who got to cut 3 more pounds than me.

Thanks to thanksgiving, guess who weighs 148? :(

Tell me about it hahaha. At least this year I could participate in the feast. Every year before this there has always been a meet on that Saturday, but man were those the best post-weigh-in cold turkey sandwiches in the history of everything.

Luckily they had weigh ins the day before thanksgiving, since the tournament was the day after thanksgiving. So I got to eat as I normally would :D

Got my first dual meet tomm at 145. I'm second string so it'll be an exhibition, but none the less gonna win this.

Good luck! I'm benched for another 2 weeks because I broke my leg in practice about a month ago. Can't wait until I can get back on the mat though!
