Im looking for some new parts (Specs at bottem), Anything thats better then what i have (If anyone can tell me where to find a bigger list, then tell me XD, im not amazing at computers)

Specs:
The computer itself is a HP: HPE-180t, but not default specs, its a little upgraded, 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium

Current Processor, Intel i7 CPU, 930 @2.80 GHz 9 G of ram.
8 gigs of DDR3
1 Terabite of memory (There was a super sale)
Graphics: Ati Radion 5770, 1gig of memory


Anyone have a better one for a good deal? thanks.

Thats pretty steep.....especially considering there isn't much out there that requires six cores. I mean, if you can afford it, go ahead i guess lol. To be honest, I'd rather get a really good quad core for quite a bit less and keep the difference for any future upgrades....but thats just me. I'd say this should be enough for whatever you are doing

no offense but WTF........why would u need to upgrade your CPU. You have an i7 930, its faster than any AMD CPU out there and most intel CPU's. I have an i7 920 which is exactly the same except for clock speeds and there is no need to upgrade. We already have almost the highest-end CPU's.

You have 4 cores with 8 virtual cores/threads, you don't need to upgrade to a slower AMD 6 core along with a motherboard and everything.

Your CPU will last you for quite a while my friend. I plan on keeping mine for a good 3-4 years more considering theres not much coming out that will be a completely life changing or give ridiculous increase in gaming scores.

Just focus on upgrading your GPU instead, it will give you the most FPS and you don't even have to worry about the CPU bottlenecking it for a while. If you get bored, overclock the CPU, i can reach 4ghz on mine which is plenty fast and you can probably reach even higher than 4ghz with good cooling.
 
Not to mention that the 1075T would be a downgrade for gaming. An actual upgrade would be a faster i7 or a Xeon, both of which will run at least $500 and won't net too much difference in games.

If you absolutely must upgrade, look into a faster video card or running SLI/Xfire if your PSU can support it. That'd be about the only upgrade worth doing right now. That being said, I don't think I would do anything right now.
 
i7 980X is the only thing that is faster.

well, the 970 is faster too, but for $100 more why not get the 980.
 
Like other people have said earlier, its not your cpu you need to upgrade. But if you were to upgrade something it would most likely be your video card, something like the nvidia 4xx gtx series or ati 6xxx series, would be your best bet. But honestly with what you have now, I'd just get another 5770 to set it up in crossfire.
 
Upgrade the case, then motherboard so you can overclock, then Crossfire the 5770's after upgrading your default power supply. Boom, almost a custom build.

lol theres not much left to discuss.......he doesn't need to upgrade his CPU anymore haha, he can just spend the money on a GPU but seeing that most of the stuff is from an HP computer he probably needs a PSU also.

Yea, I could :P, ive been adding to it for years. but last year i ran into like, $500 so i bought some pretty high end stuff, but i need advice XD. IF i dont need any ups ill probably get another monitor and go duel, ive wanted to for like a year now
 
As everyone else has said, upgrading your cpu for primarily gaming rig would be a waste.

SSD, GPU, Monitor..
 
Yea. im most likely going to get a nice monitor and then Dual Monitor,
