Servers: Vietnam Brainstorming

Give your thoughts on what kind of servers we should get. I mean we do have this Division Community for some reason so lets show it.

My thought:
2 or 3 servers:
1 Rush: Either HC or Regular, full rotation
1 Conquest: Either HC, Softcore or Regular, full rotation
1 Mixed Mode: HC or Regular, "all maps, both modes"

Anyway that's what I see so far since there is only 4 maps, then Hasting after 69 million player actions :thumbup1:
One thing I hope there is no 24/7 1 map rotation :thumbdown:

P.S. It would be awesome though to have 2 BC2 servers, and 3 Vietnam servers :w00t::cool:
 
Mixed, because I start to go crazy after playing Rush for long periods of time.:blink:

And Hardcore or Regular(Softcore), it doesn't matter to mush to me but i do prefer Regular. I personally wish that our 1 regular server was Mixed mode Regular.

Also I do agree that the 24/7 Map Rotations do not work. The only reason the Oasis server is being filled is because of eGO members and I understand that is our role as a part of the community (to fill empty Servers), But for a server to survive it needs to be able to fill it self sometimes.

There may be a slim chance that the mixed plug-in might not work for some time because the expansion. Also, it'll be addressed now; No, there won't be any squad rush or squad deathmatch on the Vietnam servers.

I would like 1 Regular Conquest server in Vietnam and 2 Rush servers. 1 Rush with Regular and 1 HC server.
 
I can let you all know right now, there will not be any additional servers purchased. We can barely fill the ones we have now so why would we dish out the extra cash each month for more empty servers?

I think we're all pretty excited to play the new expansion but without seeing how BC2: Vietnam is received by the community and how popular it is over the regular game, we'll start by converting one BC2 server to Vietnam. If that can stay full and BC2V isn't lauded by the community at large we'll convert a second but we will not be purchasing any additional servers until the current ones are utilized.

I'll leave it on this note, one thats been stated time and time again but only few seem to practice; more recruits = full servers, more servers, more events and easier time recruiting and admining.

I've always hated conquest mode until playing on our Oasis server!
I personally prefer rush on most map's. Squad Death Match is my favorite.
I will do the best I can on getting recruits because that's the only way I can help out for now.
Everyone should try to recruit because if 20 people recruit 1 person that's 20 new people in the clan!

+1 It's hard to talk and play BC2 because it's such as intense no stop action game but it's possible so give it a try people!
 
It depends on the map. I loathe conquest because the only viable class is engineer (and perhaps wookie, but to a much lesser degree), but I find that on a very small map like Oasis, conquest is really fun because all 4 classes are played equally. I in general prefer rush, except for on Oasis because it is literally impossible to make it past the 2nd set of mcom stations.
 
I remember when Bc2 had events! Fun times. I like Mixed because it gives you half and half.

If you ask me, Battlefield isn't Battlefield without Conquest, so I'm hoping to be able to play Vietnam conquest on our servers.

It's fine that we can't have another server for our division, but we need to have 2 Vietnam servers
1 Regular
1 HC
and all of them be mixed its not that hard to get 2 Vietnam servers going. Anyway we can get rid of 24/7 oasis, and Mixed mode BC2 rotations in order to have the servers we need, its that simple.
And by the number of people getting Vietnam in the eGO community I think we are going to need 2 servers. So, please reconsider the 1 server notation BC2 Leadership/Duality PLEASE & THANKS
 
well if we are only going to start out with one server it would make sense for it to be hardcore (most popular) and have it mixed to begin with to see how the gameplay is for each mode and later it can be decided on what should be done. I would switch the Oasis 24/7 server first.

2nd on switching Oasis server
Need a 2nd server for Vietnam though :)
 
2 servers for an expansion that is just about to come out and we dont know how much support we will be getting from it because we dont know how many people are going to have bc2v. 2 servers is a bit much to dedicate for a new expansion IMO.

This. Until we can fill one server, we should hold off on switching multiple to Vietnam.
