FIRST AND FOREMOST : Please do not enter this give away if you do not actively play Bad Company 2 and/or on our eGO servers. Don't be greedy and try to get something you don't plan on utilizing. Thank you.

Hello everyone. Every year around the holidays, so many go without their digital needs. Kids play out dated games that need patches to fix glitches, others play the regular maps that came with the game while others play news ones, and some never ever get those pretty skins.

Well, this holiday season, the SiSSY LaLa Foundation For People Who Like DLC With Their Digital Games or, SLLFFPWLDLCWTDG, has pulled together to give away not one, but two (2) Steam DLCs filled with Vietnam goodness for those in need of some extra BC2 content!

Please friends, if you know you can get yourself over to Vietnam by yourself, don't take from those who need it. Find others, spread the word. We've got two free rides into the fight powered by some sort of steamy contraption.

Thank You. And have a happy holiday....with flamethrowers.

To enter to receive one of two (2) free DLC packs for the upcoming expansion Battlefield : Bad Company 2 Vietnam, you must meet the following criteria:

1. You must be a member of eGO. That means at least an =e=™.

2. You must look at your wallet or bank account and determine that you could use the help getting the DLC, as it may prove difficult for you.

3. You must never, ever, ever, eat less than one donut when offered one for free. This condition can be met in the future.

4. You must plan on actually playing the game and on our servers as we may mutate servers into Vietnam ones.

If you meet these requirements, than congratulations! Please reply to this thread with the words "I CAN HAZ DLC NOW?" and a link to your Steam profile, and you will be entered into the drawing.

TIMEFRAME : The collecting of entries will continue until the 16th starting now. On the following day, Dec. 17th, I will announce the winners in this thread and in my eGO bloggy thingy. The winners will recieve their DLC through Steam on the 17th. The vietnam expansion officially launches the following day through Steam on the 18th.

DIVISIONAL : One DLC pack will be drawn specifically for those of our BC2 Division, ensuring players who play on our servers will get the DLC. The other DLC pack, will be drawn for all others who are not in the BC2 Division.

I will be getting the expansion as well on my own, but wanted to thank you for doing this! It truly is an awesome community we have in eGO!! OohRah!

Yes thank you very much for doing this Sissy, very appreciated.

Just a heads up, in order to get the expansion via steam you have to own BC2 from steam.

3. If you bought BC2 through the EA Store, will Vietnam purchased through Steam work with the EA Store version?

You don't require the steam version. You can use the CD-Key given with the steam version to unlock Vietnam with the EA Store version. Since we already have the files (from the last patch) it just needs to be unlocked. Much like the DLC

The post you're referring to was put out before it was even announced on Steam. They're notorious for doing things differently than the retail versions of 3rd party games. The EA staff member in that thread couldn't even verify if it was indeed going to be sold on steam and he even said he said that Steam wouldn't offer the 3 day head start and that it was an EA Store exclusive, he was wrong.

There are many, many, many threads with people posting their steam support replies about steam giving them refunds for their purchase of BC2V because they don't have BC2 for steam. Steam clearly stating over and over that it will not work with non-Steam BC2 copies.

Steam bought DLC (Specact) works with retail, BC2V shouldn't be any different. Since the files are already located on the computer and just need to be "unlocked". Which is done by copying the Key steam gives you and Redeeming it in game.

It has the same disclaimer "Requires the base game Battlefield: Bad Company? 2 on Steam in order to play."

I really need to get back into BC2. I def didnt spend the $$ just to have the game lying around. Besides today im off, so im gonna try to get into 1 of our servers & try 2 get some exp.
