I often have that effect around here...
I'm very disappointed in the lack of discretion towards this sensitive workplace issue.
All workers should be treated equally disregarding sexual orientation (or lack thereof?)

I'll just copy paste this from the other thread about this, I didn't steel this theory, I made it up a bit after engie update was released, IDK if someone else made it up though.

Normally people can speak out of those kinds of gas masks, maybe the engie couldn't make his voice box work. The reason why the engie had only one glove, he most likely has OCD so why would he wear only ONE glove? The pyro took it and wears it on his head as if he knows the engie made him or something. ALSO this is why Valve chose the homewrecker as one of the weapons for the pyro, it shows that the pyro is defensive of the engineer and the pyro's fellow machines.

A similar theory I found on the internet awhile ago is that the BLU pyro is Abraham Lincoln, the first BLU pyro, brought back to life by the engineer's grandfather as some kind of zombie-in-a-flame-retardant suit. Hence the mumbling.
Apparently, tons of easter eggs (hidden photos, taken by Radigan Conagher, Engi's grandfather) on the Engi update page had references to Abraham Lincoln.
I did not come up with this.
Doesn't explain the RED pyro, either.
