BATTLE RESULTS

Battle #4 Results:

Round 1: Axis attack the Allied French Beachhead from France on dod_cherbourg

German forces tried desperately to drive the Allied invaders back into the English channel. Their attack fell painfully short as they were themselves driven back to defensive positions east of Cherbourg. The Beachhead remains intact and Allied forces continue to move inland.

Round 2: Allies attack Austria from North Africa by way of Italy on dod_donner

The situation was desperate for Allied forces attacking Austria. With supply lines pinched and no safe haven from Austrian borders to North Africa, it was an absolute must-win for them. They were successful in their attack, however, defeating German occupiers and sending them back to Germany itself.

The campaign is drawing to a close, but what a campaign it's been. From invasion to now, we've seen territory swaps and losses like never before. Tonight, the first time Austria had ever been attacked it's sovereignty was contested and won by an opposing team. For the first time in three campaigns, the territory of Germany is eligible for attack by the Allies on dod_kolsch. You don't need to be a genius to guess where IO will lead his boys next week!

oh, can we review the MG rule? the current one makes no sense in terms of realism and gameplay. i thought the rule about not moving with the mg was because the ammo is stored where you set up, so if you want to move you have to drop it, but anyone can go and use it in that position. makes more sense than being able to carry it around without the ability to redeploy, but passing it to someone else makes it usable.... why cant the original MG'r use it anymore? because he doesnt have the ammo with him, so why should the other guys have it?

Well...yeah...but if the Axis didn't bend rules whenever possible, we wouldn't just kick their butts, we'd totally wreck them. They gotta even it up somehow, ya know...

I think you're right Brain, we'll definitely review the rule and if it makes sense to change it, which it seems like it does, that change should be effective next week. There were definitely a few people bringing that up tonight, we'll make sure everything's cleared up for next time. Good games dudes this one was a lot of fun, new maps whoo!

hmmm im pretty sure you can but mg anywhere after that when orginal mg is dead! so you can go get it there and move it some where else!

Wrong, we are going to France or Denmark.
