This is relevant because we're all gamers of course and there's a good chance some of you are at least registered on Kotaku.

Please read for your own sake.

There was an extremely large disclosure of usernames, e-mail addresses, and lightly-encrypted passwords from Gawker. If you ever created an account at Gawker, Gizmodo, Jalopnik, Jezebel, Kotaku, Lifehacker, Deadspin or io9, your information was probably released (over half a million unique e-mail addresses and hashed passwords were released). There are active exploits of this information in the wild, including spam on Twitter.

Here is the quickest way to find out if you're a victim;
1. http://pajhome.org.uk/crypt/md5/
2. Enter your email address under "Input", and click on "MD5". Copy the "Result".
3. http://www.google.com/fusiontables/DataSource?dsrcid=350662
4. Click on "Show Options" and change the filter to "MD5". Paste the copied "Result" and see if it shows up on search. If ANYTHING shows up on the search result (e.g. xxxx.com where xxxx is the domain of your email address) it does then your password has been compromised and sooner or later will be hacked if they feel like it.

If you get a hit, change your password on every website you use that password. Importantly, places like Steam, eBay, Google, Facebook, online banking and such.

If you need help checking, post here.
