well, I am sure my mic doesn't have any problem itself
I tried to use my mic to talk on DoD
I did turn off the boost option on both windows xp and option from DoD.
I adjusted my volume, my mic setting.
Everything seems to be helpess.
My mic is now sounds like "fooooo $^gdf567$%&fgd" there is nosies. Seems to be my speaker problem? I don't really know. (because my webcam's mic is broken, i used to use my speaker as a mic, and now I got my new mic...and problem is with the new mic...)

So with your new mic you hear noises, or the people who listen hear noises? Just to clarify.

It sounds like a problem with the mic, possibly it had gotten damaged (internally or externally).

Also, are you sure there is no background noise/nothing playing in the background? One time, my mic was picking up the music I was listening to while I was playing WiC, and people kept saying my mic sounds weird.

Also, are you talking very close? If you talk too close to it, it will muffle and distort (Not to sound stupid. Some people do this without knowing).

It could be a few things more, but I think I have back comprehension :P

first, I'm glad to hear a reply from you, thank you very much
Yes, the people could hear the noises
I tested it on XP recording software too, and even Adobe Audio too, there is no problem with anything, no noise, very clear.
The only problem is only with the game. I did disable the boots option. And I tried to lower the volume and everything else I could have done so far.
I don't think it's the mic. Maybe software problem?
I don't really know...
The only thing I have on the background is the game's music...
shooting... that's it...^^

Well, if your speakers are not set to mute out your own mic then a single bullet shot can cause feedback within the mic exponentially. Even with it muted, the gunshots can causes ruson on your mic sound.

Not to mention the tendancy of people to yell at their mic while being grenades rather than talking like a normal humanbeing. Once a noice of any kind surpases the mic's ability to convert the signal to digital then all that comes out is noise.

Make sure you keep the mic like a foot or more from your mouth and turn the volume down or use headphones while testing it. Then make sure you use the tools in steam to tet your mic out of game. That should be how it is rendered in game.

thank you green monkey
let me see what steam could get for me^^
