Well i am fed up with my Inspiron 530. I want a Pc thats a quad core and also has Ati video cards. Now I would like one cheap(Maybe 200-400). I really love Bc2 and want to run it on High but yet i am stuck with running everything on low  . Any suggestions?

What's your current set up? I can help you with a few upgrades, if a total new set up is unnecessary.

Thanks bro.

Dutch, do you want to get a whole new system, or just stick a new cpu and graphics card into your current? I can tell you right now that you'll need a new cpu and gpu, and probably a new power supply (given that you still have the stock 300 watt psu). I'm surprised you can run games well with that set up.

Also, what resolution are you playing at? /do you want to play at?

$200-400 computer that will run it??? Very hard to find.

On that budget, you don't need a quad core to run games. Most duo cores are still fine. The i3's have 4 threads anyway i think (not sure, they should) which is like a virtual quad-core.

If you can pay a little more newegg has an amazing bundle deal right now.

Thats a pretty amazing setup for the price.

Otherwise, this build i put together is better if you can use ur old hard drive

HAF 912
HIS 5770
Antec Earthwatts 650w
G.Skill Ripjaws 4GB DDR3
Biostar T5 XE CFX-SLI
Intel i3-550

Total price is $520 after rebate and $550 before. They all have free shipping.

Be more realistic. Or drop your standards. 200-400 is nothing for computers.

I play with a 1440 x 900and i like this size

My Comp is a Duo core but in fact its 1 core thinking its 2.

New egg had a sale on a quad that was 200 but it was only the motherboard no case or anything else. My one friend built his quad and it only cost him 300 bucks and it can run bc2.

Forgot to say that the only parts i found to upgrade was to a 2.4 but I more so want a hole new comp because mine is just junk

The quad core alone could cost 300 bucks.

For the whole system, you'd need to spend around 800 to run BC2 at max.

Not 800.........i think the build i just made/showed can play BC2 with decents graphics and FPS at that resolution.

well, i mean, my build has a 5770, could probably get a bit higher GPU with some fine tuning. But according to reviews, at 1680x1050 it gets about 30 minimum and 50 average with maximum details and no AA but x16AF.

With a good overclock and the lower resolution, you could probably get atleast 40 minimum and 60avg??

BC2 is not hard to max out anyways. A GTS 450 will have no problem. Hell a GTS 250 wouldn't have a problem either.

True, but in order to achieve that, you'd have to turn off AA, AF, and HBAO. You should probably run the game in DX9 mode too.

Then, and only then, can you achieve 60 FPS (if you have a good quad core CPU)

You can change the GTX 460 with a 5770 for the ATI's :P

That is not maxed... If you can't turn up AA, AF, and all the other goodies to the highest possible settings and still keep a decent framerate you are not maxing the game. Only thing you can really play with is the dx level, because sometimes its just needed for compatibility (my ins, for example, crashes loading maps if I run it in dx9. no idea why, but stuck in dx8 because of it).

I can't even get a consistent 60 fps with a 5870 + Q6600 @ 3.2, 1920x1080 in dx11 on high. (on certain maps at least)
