My new rig

For the first time in years I didn't build my own box. I found www.computerlx.com while looking for mobo memory combinations. I started putting on more and more and I built a great PC for $650 (No monitor OS or keyboard. I put on XP). I couldn't beat the price just for parts and they did all the work and shipped it to me free. I am now dying at 80-100 FPS.

AMD 64 dual core 6000+
Asus mobo
3 gig DDR2800 6400 memory
8600 GT video card
DVD burner
CD RW
160 gb SATA HDD

etc.

I'm loving it and this is not a commercial. I was just really impressed with their work and their prices. Ooh, and it's pimped out with a side panel lit with blue LEDs on an aluminum case with a big blue LED around the power switch. No state sales tax. Just for you folks on a budget like me.

Intel Core2 DUO T7500 @ 2.20 ghz
3 gig Dual Channel Ram
256 meg Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT
220 gig HD
DVD/RW

I love it. Little hard to get used to though.

I just installed a X1650 Pro IceQ 512 MEG vid card in my desktop, and it is running awesome. I need a little more Ram in that one though. I will be buying some more for that soon.

i would go for 4400
or 5000 is enough

um... let me try to give you a list which i will perfer to go with
CPU: X2 4400+ (4000+ is very fine too) you need to overlock it for a better performance
Video: 1950pro (your bourget increase a bit, you could have get either 7950 / 8800)
Motherboard: ASUS A8N SLI Deluxe
RAM: 2GB is enough, even running CDO4...
this setup may cost you a bit more$$, around 750~800 i doubted (escpeailly if you wanna increase $$ for a better video card... 1950 Pro is very fine...)

I had to cut and trim here to get the box. mobo is SLI ready and I may do that later. It's plenty fast for now. I like Nvidia. 8600 GT was a good choice as it turns out. Running 80-100 fps in DOD:S. All games are set for high.
