in game and vent

are there any rules concerning being on vent when in game? I have noticed many times where members are in game but not on vent. Just wondering.

some reason vent keeps giving me errors every once in a while like every other day. i think my computer is just ghetto.

No there's no rule against that. More of us like to be in Vent while in game that way we can chat. The BC2 VOIP is caca. Plus you have to be in squad to voice chat.

It's entirely up to you if you want to be in vent while playing. Most people enjoy it as it helps coordinate play with friends. It is an open vent, so if you have a player who is not a member of eGO please, invite them to join you. All I ask you to consider if you do this is why they're not a member of eGO, and to perhaps use vent to bring them into the family.

We do however suggest that if you're an eG or an eGO you are in vent while adminning and moderating servers. This allows coordination with other admins, and results in smoother adminning.

I was playing WoW while in the BC2 channels last night haha. I'm not on the same servers as eGO's guids so I was just chilling with my home division.

Like many have said. It is your option to be in Ventrilo or not. It is just a good thing to be in because you can talk with your fellow BC2 and other members, gets you noticed, make new friends, and leadership can get in contact with you quickly if need be.
