Vid HELP !

Alright, I've been playing CS:S for quite a while and HL2M and have had no problem with screen lag. However when I switched to DoD:S Im not sure if its the higher vid demands, or just something im over looking, but I get major screen lag. It normally happens when there is a lot going on in the screen, so I wonder if that is leaning towards my processor .. which is Pentium 4 2.67 Ghz. w/ 1 Gig of RAM, so I don't think that is the problem. My vid card is ATI Radeon X800 which i don't think is the problem. I have all my drivers up to date, and so I turn to you all .. Anyone have any suggestion?

no i have the same setting except for the video card which is 6200, which is fine ...
DoDS doesn't need a high performance
but your spec is pretty good
the video card is fine.... because HL2 DM and CSS requires the same spec like the DoDS

I advise u to close down as many applications as possible
something like on the startup you should also close them down.
and how about your connection???

The games can and possibly are running at different video settings. Can you please share your video resolution, and all of the options under video settings when you click the 'advanced' button.

Also, which Os are you running. More information hurts nothing but not enough is just that.

One issue to look into also is heat issues. I run a laptop so I run into heat issues all the time. Im running a centrino duo 1.6 with 2 gig ram and a geforce 7600. If i keep the fan clear it runs flawlessly. If it get covered up for a bit it will have horrible lag.
