I am new to BC2 Vietnam. However I am not new to hackers. THEY ARE RAMPANT OVER OUR SERVERS. I asked a guy how I could get better. Look at the links he gave me over Steam Friends. He said almost everyone hacks.

Thoughts?

So lets have some serious thoughts on how we can end this on EGO servers.

Well good find I must say but there is absolutely no way we can tell if they are indeed hacking or not because we can not spectate an individual player. We already have a policy for hackers. That is not to ban on 'suspicion' of hacking. If someone is speed hacking or something obvious of that sort we can ban them on site. Other than that, admins are not allowed to take action based on that.

But there is a loophole. If it is disrupting the server enough you can kick them, if they comeback and continue ban them for disrupting the server.

If I had known we cannot police the hackers, I would not have bought the game. Was on a eGO server. Sighted down my m16 at a guy 50-55 yards away. Fired one shot, he turned and got me with a headshot WITH A .45. He killed me 11 times with headshot .45. NOW COME ON!!!! There is noway a guy can go 32-0 on a full server. GIVE ME A BREAK.

eGO admins SHOULD always be suspisious. They see something like that they need to investigate.

Then this guy tryed to get me to hack, even with the =(e)= on my name I should have know this was going to be bad.

Of course we should be, many admins wish they could ban on suspicion of hacking, but we don't create the rules. The policies for hacking were set up a long time ago, and there's nothing we can do about that.

Sorry if it's keeping you from playing on our servers. The only thing we can do is place a ban request, with GameME stats included. There is no other foolproof way of catching hackers, and we are not about to ban players that could just be better than everyone else.

# Hacking - DO NOT BAN ON SUSPICION OF HACKING. Only ban hackers who are speedhacking or spinning around in circles headshotting people. So unless its insanely obvious and disrupting the server do not, I repeat, do not ban them. At the current time theres no way for someone to spectate in first person and record a demo, until Punkbuster Screenshots are properly fixed accusations of hacking cannot be confirmed unless it falls into the above categories.

# Ban Requests - In the event you cannot get a hold of an eGO member to ban a troublemaker (after they've been warned and kicked, auto-ban's excluded), then you need to place a Ban Request in the appropriate forum. These requests are handled by leadership and the individual is handed a punish depending on the severity of the situation.

# Ban Requests (Cont.) - All Ban Requests are to be accompanied with the ban request template, as usual. Keep in mind, BC2ID's and chat logs are stored on our stats site and can be easily searched and provided to leadership. Click EdgeGamers.gameME.com and goto "Players" to search for the offender by name.

An excerpt from the admin 101 sign off in the eG/eGO private forums. I highlighted the important part.

Ohh I wont stop playing. Just go back to INS lol. I did try again and it was much better. Seems a couple can ruin a whole game.

Checkmate,

We hear this time and time again from new players to our servers. Thing is, we have a very talented group of regulars and eGO members who constantly play on our servers. The quality level of play is higher than that of the usual random server.

Hackers are out there, yes. Leadership does catch what can be caught, but nothing is foolproof. The majority of hacking accusations are false; the stats of the accused are well within normal range for our servers. As you get better at BC2 you'll find that your skills will increase, and those you thought HAD to be hacking you're now the equal too.

Check, like I told you in your pm; although we can not ban out of suspicion that someone is hacking, you can submit a ban request and BC2 Leadership will review it. If we have reason to believe and beyond a doubt that someone IS hacking, then they will not be on our servers anymore.

~Music, signing-off.
