So, I've been thinking, and there are some great Underrated games out there like Metro 2033 or STALKER series. Both of them are of course not as well known as say, Fallout 3 or New Vegas, I only put fallout because STALKER and Metro 2033 have nearly the same RPG aspect, aside from leveling up and stat distribution.

Do guys know any other good underrated games that aren't known very well?

Arma 2, a very realistic military simulator with a huge modding community behind it. The only bad part about it is the fact that nobody ever plays PvP aside from the big tourneys.

Darksiders is a pretty awesome game that I haven't heard very many people talk about...probably because it is a single player game. It's pretty good considering it's basicly a Zelda knockoff.

Operation Flashpoint:Dragon Rising was rather good for anyone into tactical military games and Clive Barkers: Jericho for anyone into creepy atmosphere with a strange glimpse at history

This. The mods are just crazy in this game. But just the same. I wish more people played PvP.

Another I would add up there is Mount & Blade Warband. Another game with just some crazy fun mods for multiplayer and single player.

I believe Nier was very under appreciated. The story is awesome. I never cared to play an RPG more than once, ever, until Nier.

I've gots two. ;D

Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter - Not a lot of people play this game, which is such a big shame since this game is the best Serious Sam IMO.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R: SoC/CoP - Both of these games really deserve more support then they are getting. I hear a lot of people went away from SoC due to the bad optimization of the game, but that was fixed with the Complete 2009 Mod. CoP is the most optimized game in the series and is very addicting at that. The S.T.A.L.K.E.R games have always been great (except for Clear Sky) and those games deserve a ton of respect.

I'll say two.

I agree completely with Mount & Blade: Warband. What a great game.

I think Freelancer is another extremely under-rated game that is great. Essentially a space sandbox game well ahead of its time.

This year, I'm going with Vanquish. It got amazing review, but sold poorly. The story is terrible and the campaign is short, but there aren't very many games that make you feel as much of a bad ass as Vanquish

Agreed. I own all 3 in the series. +1

Well, I have to say Crysis. I love the gameplay, but everyone claims it's only good because of the graphics, and that's why people bought it.

Trying to think of others...maybe the Monster Hunter series(outside of Eastern Asia, of course)?

i will say mount and blade warband too
it's fun and have many new features..
and now they are developing mount and blade : with fire and sword..

Earth Defence Force 2017
Alan Wake
Alpha Protocol

alan wake was an amazing game still playing through it too. Also i loved metro 2033 and the stalker series. Nothing spooked me more when i was in the secret underground bunkers in chernobyl. and nothing was more psychologically scarier than metro 2033 and alan wake(maybe F.E.A.R?).

definitely Mount and Blade: Warband by far.
Rise of the Argonauts was a very fun game that I enjoyed playing (despite certain bugs)

Also, I'm a huge fan of indy games. A few I totally recommend checking out:

Swords and Soldiers HD
Rhythm Zone (if u are a Guitar Hero fan)
& Osmos
