I just bought BFBC2 today like most people in the world I guess, and I'm experiencing unplayable lag, even in singleplayer. The graphics are all messed up so I can't see anything, and very laggy. I've changed my settings to the ones in the stickied post and it didn't seem to do much, did something go wrong when I installed? Oh, and when I exit the game, a yellow yield icon with an exclamation point appeared in my systems tray, and when I went to check my devices, none of them had the icon next to it.

Specs:
Hewlett-Packard a1730n
Windows Vista, Service Pack 2
Processor- AMD Athelon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4600+ 2.4GhHz
Memory- 2GB
32bit OS
Graphics Card- NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE (drivers are up to date)

Although I'm no computer expert, if you're experiencing lag and other abnormalities, even in single-player, then the problem most likely resides within your computer itself. BC2 is a very demanding game. Maybe your computer just can't run it that well?

Your graphics card is pretty old, and was even low end upon release. As well as being an intergrated card. Have you set all settings to low?

Yes. You should also either look on some sites to see if there are any sales on some good graphics cards.

definatly check newegg :) they usually get some great sales and have great cards for reasonable prices :)

The graphics card is below the minimum requirement set forth by EA. Along with that, BC2 is very CPU intensive, so combining your graphics card with a CPU that's just slightly above the required CPU (plus running only 2gb of ram with Vista -Vista's a memory hog) will cause some serious lag.

This site is super-handy. It will quickly analyze your computer and let you know if your computer can handle the game, and what areas of your computer need some upgrading in order to play.

oh poop, i ran that test not too long ago too. at least i only spent 6 bucks on it haha. i'll be getting an upgrade soon though!

The yellow yield sign means your graphics card has crashed and recovered.

May I recommend Nvidia!!! woohoo go Geforce rock on! ...quiet slaz...

If I were you, I would pick up a GTX 460 (radeon) or HD 5770 (ATI). The 460 is an amazing card for the price, but its not top of the line. Should last you awhile though.
