Valve in this last update actually updated a Day of Defeat: source -specific feature:

"Day of Defeat: Source
Fixed an exploit where clients could prevent weapons from recoiling properly."

^goodbye insane bar accuracy?

commonly know as "CTXing"
about time they fixed it, its more common than you'd think, ive seen 2 obvious cases of it in anzio, both by league players. not that they try to hide it, giving themselves 0 recoil whatsoever
 
CTXing sucks they can change the ammo count change the damage of the weapons n ive seen this in league players also
 
CTXing? Dont you mean RonpaulTXing? Just kidding. I dont know what this does, but it'll probably make me worse some how.
 
Essentially Synergy you could do something on your side of things that would make it so you could, most commonly, alter your BAR so that it had no recoil.
 
Shot registration update in the near future? Y'all better pray they don't fix shot registration.

nah, they'd have to overhaul netcode for this. DoD:S2 most likely :D

CTX'ing in general works like this:

Download decryption tool
Copy CTX files from game dir
Decrypt CTX files
Modify recoil, damage, weight, spread, rate of fire, etc.
Encrypt CTX files
Replace CTX files in game dir.

The caveat is that the encryption/decryption keys are located in dlls that change with every update, so there is some scripting and hunting to be done. It's also pretty old school (circa 2008) and I'm curious to discover the exact exploit that was being patched here.

Anyhoot, hurray for dods updates, when the day comes where we don't get any... start to worry.

Oh thanks for making that soooo simple for us Ron :P .Flippin computer ppl, whatever shall we do with them. ;)
 
Did they ever fix the problem where the game doesnt recognize achievments (Jack of all trades for example!)
