I just bought a brand new graphics card for my windows vista. My computer has a pci input so i bought a pci card. When i looked inside of my computer i noticed the input where i plug my graphics card in was backwards. Is there a away i can fix this or do i have to shoot myself in the foot?

What is the model # of your computer, and which card exactly did you buy?

Could we have some pictures?

PC parts are very standardized, so I highly doubt what you describe is true.

i've installed three graphics cards before with ease, this one however appears to be backwards, the ports for the moniter and what not are inside of my computer instead of facing outward and it is a gtx 260 i think... and i have no idea what my model # is (:

Pictures or exact model numbers would help much more than a description in this case :) (and by model number I mean what kind of computer do you have)

a windows vista made by gateway and i'm sure where to look in my computer for the model #

AGP looks backwards compared to PCIe, brah. Is that before your time? lol.

@OP
It seems like you shot yourself in the foot. Click on the start menu, type in "dxdiag" without quotations, and take a screen shot of that.
If you don't know how to upload a screen shot, just copy and paste the important info in the middle.

I ran a P4 AGP system for years brah. Don't give me that crap :rolleyes:

Since it has vista, it must be semi recent. It should have a PCIe slot.

This thread is impossible to decipher without pics

Ok basically it has the newest slot or w.e and is compatible with my graphics card, and it plugs in, however in only plugs in backwards because my slot in my computer is some how backwards? is there a way that i could switch that around?
