Alright ladies and gentleman of eGO, I'm finally here, Los Angeles California. You guys have been pestering me for months to come here after me constantly complaining about big cities so I finally decided to come down here for the holidays with a couple buddies to experience LA for the first time. Now to my luck we arrived right as a record rainstorm did so that didn't exactly leave the greatest first impression (Not that we aren't used to rain as we live in Vancouver Canada). We've been here for about three and a half days now and that impression has certainly changed over that period of time, we spent Monday in Disneyland, Tuesday in Hollywood, and now Wednesday in Universal Studios which was absolutely fantastic. Mixed with the amazing maze of overpasses and highways (Never mind the incredible architecture of some places) we have learned that Los Angeles is our personal favorite big city in the US (We're going to NYC next then Houston Texas).

Just wanted to thank all the people in eGO that recommended LA as our next travel, if you have any other travel suggestion for me and my buddies (Places within North America) please let me know here and I'll add them to our list!

Thanks guys!
Jamester

Here's my suggestion to you Jamester: Chicago, IL.

Sure, it's a pretty gangster place, but there's some AMAZING stuff here to see. I would suggest coming to see Sears Tower, and standing in the glass skydeck overlooking Chicago.
I have a picture (off Google, yes, as I haven't been there yet) as an attachment just as an example.

I only recently moved here, and I still find amazing stuff to see everyday. While other people who have lived in Chicago all their lives might say that it's boring here, I still suggest it and leave it up to you!

Clarksburg West Virgina! =D totally awesome here
jk its terrible here do not waste your money i don't even wanna be here

It's not that bad, I lived in the Near North Side for 2 years and I did fine. It's just like any other city, don't look weak and oblivious and the predators leave you alone.

Hate to say it but LA is really just a cesspool of a city.

Try and hit up some of the smaller city's on the way. Most of them will be way better then the big city's.

I've been all over California, as far north as Eureka to Modesto (East of San Fransisco) and now I finally got to experience Los Angeles, I really enjoy the city, it certainly has it's rough parts but I think you'd have to live here for some time to hate it

I live in New Orleans, and I can only say pleasant things in terms of tourism. Living here is meh. Best food, good atmosphere, relaxed.

San Francisco is one of my favorite cities too. Gotta love the bay area.

I spent almost all of July up there in Modesto, I spent a couple days walking around San Fran and saw some amazing sights such as the Golden Gate and the Coit Tower. Certainly in my top 3 cities!

Las Vegas would be my number 1 place to visit, maybe New York City as well.

It's pretty nice here in Florida too, but I wouldn't have it at the top of my list.

Oklahoma is pretty nice, we have got...... um........we have........a zoo.....and..........I hear L.A. is nice this time of year. :P
