Microsoft Certification?

Is anyone actively working on their MCTS or MCITP? Id like to know if you need to complete every course in MCTS before going to MCITP or if theres a main difference between the two like how CCNP is a step up from CCNA.

I don't know a lot about Microsoft certification but I think you should take MCTS first then MCITP. I got this overview from the Microsoft, I hope it helps. You should start from the bottom and work your way up. You should take all the course for MCTS.

This is what I know about Cisco certification. CCNA works with a group while CCNP works independently. I will be taking CCNA in January so I don't know a whole lot about Microsoft or Cisco yet but this is my opinion. I'm already CompTIA A+ and Network+ certify.
Are you going toward networking or server admin or even a desktop technician?

I am in CCNA at the moment my scholastic focus is network security, CCNP and CCNA basically alot of overlapping courses and is basically the sames thing my understanding is it has a deeper understanding than CCNA but i could be wrong. What I can tell you is CCNA is really hard. If you haven't started I would start try to gain strong grasp of binary and subnetting that throws a lot of people off and they find themselves too far behind to catch up.

i cant believe I would have to learn binary something so outdated and hardly used... I really dont want to have anything to do with programming.

Unfortunately, computers don't really think in java or C++ or whatever..they think in Binary.

He probably didn't mean you needed to learn how to "program" binary, but that you would need to understand binary arithmetic.
