I think the top is a little too bright.

The swirl in the top right and those yellow glow thinga around the main orb dont look too good. Other than that, nice work

Also if you don't use smudge what do you use? Art history paint brush?

Yeah, I agree. Its way too bright on there. What did you use exactly? Because I mean, it almost looks like you made the picture and then up'd the contrast. It looks like a photo, which is rad but you may need to darken some areas for ultimate effect.

I agree its too bright there, didnt notice it when i was making it. I made it all by myself just photoshop tools.
Ragman your right, the swirl there doesnt look good, and i didnt put effort in those yellow circles especially the big one onto the right, looks awful ;((
but thanks guys for the comments ill check those when i have time to make the next one.
or make a Version2 on this one if im bored sometime.
