I just needed to vent somewhere about DHL delivery service and how much they suck! (from all my person experiences)

Keep in mind that I live in Metro Atlanta region in Georgia and package should have arrived today.

Here is the tracker updates I have
Code:
12/23/2010 12:41 PM ET Hebron, KY ARRIVAL DESTINATION DHL GLOBAL MAIL FACILITY
12/23/2010 12:18 PM ET Forest Park, GA	TENDERED TO USPS
12/22/2010	07:18 PM ET Forest Park, GA	ARRIVAL DESTINATION DHL GLOBAL MAIL FACILITY
12/22/2010	12:59 AM ET Hebron, KY DEPARTURE ORIGIN DHL GLOBAL MAIL FACILITY
12/21/2010	09:13 AM CT Saint Louis, MO	DEPARTURE ORIGIN DHL GLOBAL MAIL FACILITY
12/21/2010	12:40 AM CT Saint Louis, MO	PROCESSED
12/20/2010	10:03 PM CT Saint Louis, MO	ARRIVAL ORIGIN DHL GLOBAL MAIL FACILITY
12/20/2010	04:05 PM CT Memphis, TN PICKED UP BY SHIPPING PARTNER

Ok, so start you can see it was shipped from Memphis, TN only about a days drive from here to there, day after the order and saw they sent it to Saint Louis, MO there is one BIG issue with that Saint Louis, MO is about 280 MILES IN THE WRONG DIRECTION...

Ok, so I let that one go cause it was just an honest mistake so I check back next day and see its moved up to to Hebron, KY Second issue PLACE THEY SENT IT TO IS EVEN MORE NORTH about another 350 MILES from there, so by this time I contact newegg who I bought it from and one the support people say they gave them the right address and so on and tells me that it should arrive on right so I trust the guy and end it.

So, I check back later and see its moved down to Forest Park, GA so I start thinking alright its be here tomorrow so next morning I check it again and see some how in a 23 minute time span the package magically took a 400+ mile trip across 3 states.

And now I sit here clueless not knowing if its lost and coming late and unable to contact anyone from newegg or DHL support cause its the holidays...

That is DHL for you. The USPS is good and don't charge near as much as them and better service...at least in Texas that is. One time I ordered DDR2 RAM from some company that used DHL......bad idea..

Waited...and waited....Got frustrated and I looked where it was and it had been sitting in 1 spot for 5 days! I was like WTF???! I would understand if it was a holiday or something but it was in the middle of June.

When my RAM FINALLY came in...they roughed up the package so much that the plastic was sunk in and destroyed the RAM....which I had to send back for a refund...which pissed me off even more...UGH!

They have proven to me to be a suckish way to mail stuff. I feel your pain and more. I literally try to avoid them even if I have to pay a little extra for a different service..

Well, you really don't have a way to track it anymore. DHL handed it off to USPS who will finish the delivery, assuming that DHL gave them all the right information. However, this means that you have to now wait on however long USPS takes to deliver the package. If you're really fumed about it, you can give Newegg a ring, and they might hook you up with a deal or refund shipping (or if it doesn't arrive, they'll file a claim and likely send you another package through a different carrier). Calling DHL support won't get you anything, you're not the sender so they won't do anything for you.

Either way, it is also the holidays, so shipments are delayed. If you're curious, you can give USPS a ring on Monday and see if they have any information for you, but no guarantee of help there. Your best bet would be calling up Newegg.

I waited 4 weeks for my Deathadder mouse and fatal1ty headphones when they were supposed to be here in 4 days.

._.

Yeah, DHL really, really, sucks.

They charge more, and all they really do is pick a package up, and take it to the Post Office. wtf?

Yea, I'm going to do that from now out the 3 times they have been the shipper for an item I have bought they have always been late and tracking on the package was inconsistent.

Yea, see thats the problem I don't know if USPS really actually has it cause if you look the last update says that it had arrived at DHL GLOBAL MAIL FACILITY
after it was given to USPS supposedly.

That is very common for shipping companies to give stuff to and take stuff from the USPS.

Here's how it works:

UPS, Fedex, and other big name shipping companies send all of their ground packages to USPS, since they are required to deliver mail to every house in America by law.

USPS sends UPS and Fedex their overnight packages since they have a huge fleet of airplanes to handle overnight deliveries then hands them back to the USPS to deliver via ground.

This is true for about 90% of shipping practices in the US.

(My dad is working on a contract to change how the USPS can track and trace their shipments and a bunch of other stuff so I found out a lot of how this stuff works ;) )
