Punkbuster is being mean D:

When ever I try to join a server it says I dont have PB installed, I ran that PB thing and it said

Might be smart to do a reinstall. PunkBuster is so finicky that it likes to break itself occasionally.


It didn't have the drivers for K (there are three drivers it needs (A,B,K) and attempted to replace it. It put it in your appdata//Roaming folder (which is not where it belongs). Strange thing is, it then said that everything with K as running fine. For the test's purposes, it probably was. But ingame, it looks for the files in the folders where they should be. Safest bet might be to just uninstall and reinstall it again. Things sometimes get messed up or corrupted during installation!

Usually when PunkBuster isn't working, it means that it didn't register well in the 1st installation. So I suggest just re-installing and then it should work fine from there.

Wish there was a quicker solution.

ohh there was a punkbuster thing when i installed but i thought it was "I dont not/I do" agree thing so I just clicked a button.

When I had this issue, I went to the website and did all that and I still received the same issue. Eventually I just uninstalled BC2 completely and reinstalled it all over and it work. Not sure if my method work, that program crazy.

I had a similar issue when I was toying around with macro software to automate daily pc tasks and punkbuster thought it was a cheat program when in fact it had nothing to do with cheating on any game. But long story short I had to remove it all then uninstall and reinstall punkbuster. I hope you get everything solved though one way or another.
