Hey I am Endorama from MOD and have just bought BFBC2 and installed it. When I try to do anything I get the message "" Cannot connect to EA"" or something of the such. I have turned off my fire wall, my anti virus , and have even reinstalled the game and get the same thing. Can any one help me.

What operating system of Windows are you running?

You might try updating punkbuster. I have heard of players losing connection to EA because their punkbuster was either not installed or not updated to the latest version.

Below is the link to punkbuster's website. Download and run the .exe. Once it checks for updates, you will see the punkbuster program running. At the top left, click on Add a Game. Select Battlefield Bad Company 2 from the drop-down menu and click add. Then at the top, click on Check for Updates. It will take it from there...

I bought BFBC2 off STEAM a couple days before it was on sale and it downloaded the fully updated version for me.. I didn't need to update.. :/

You could try registering your BC2 with steam and let steam do all of the updates...I have my BC2 through steam and I have no problems...

Go to your main steam program. At the top, click Games > Activate a product through steam. Follow the instructions and when you finish, the game should automatically create a new steam-associated directory for your game and will auto-update.

It does not take, Says it is not a CD key. So..... I have no clue what is wrong with this game..

What DesPlas suggested won't work, if you have retail version of bc2, you can't use Steam to autoupdate. Sorry.

Here's how you do the non-Steam self updater: go to Computer > C: > Program Files > Electronic Arts > Battlefield Bad Company 2 > and run BFBC2Updater

If you need any remote support contact me on steam druidsdx, I am a computer technician and will be willing to help you out on this.

I think it is the internet here. I go home tomorrow, and if it is still screwed up in my barracks then i will have to have support.
