Need a New Headset

So my friend and I were fighting over my headset (I wanted to tell his girlfriend bad stories over skype but that's beside the point) and well my headset broke.

I need a new headset and I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions. Links from newegg would be most appreciated. I have a gift card there. Try to keep it under $40.

Well, I can't find a link to them, but there are these Logitech headphones that are about 35-40 dollars. They are pretty good.

pros: lightweight, durable, comfortable, excellent sound.

cons: you'll forget you're wearing them and end up trying to walk away from your computer still wearing them
On a serious note there is a design flaw which results in the adjustable part on the left ear cup to snap. Only happens with rough handling...which it sounds would not be good with you...but is easily repairable with tape and wont result in any loss of sound quality.

You can check the tech sub-forums they have a lot of reviews on headsets.

I have a pair of logitech headphones that work very well. From my experience avoid getting a USB headset. At least for me the wiring was messed up not just once, but twice. Only 1 headphone worked after only a month of using it.

I have the open ear with surround sound of this headset and I'm not rough with it at all, but just spreading it apart a little bit to put it on my head caused it to snap right where you mentioned after only about 5 months. I taped mine as you mentioned as well and it is still working fine. lol Talk about hitting the nail on the head! :biggrin:

P.S. IDK how many times I told u Right click my name - Miscellaneous - Special Effects - Volume or Compressor and fix my volume.
