Comp wont start

So i built this computer right before christmas and i just bought another stick of ram and an all in one card reader i installed them to be what i thought was fine but now my computer will not start at all. When i plugged my power cord back in to the PSU the fans started to go and then stopped.

Remove that stick of ram and see what happens. If it works, could either be bad ram, or you bought ram that isn't the right DDR# for your mobo.

I had an experience like that one time, and it ended up that the mobo wasn't seated properly in the chassis, causing a short. Did you see if all the appropriate screws are in place and tightened properly?

Ill check cause when i was putting the stuff in i did hear a ting.

Check to make sure that all the power cables inside are plugged in correctly, especially the master power cable, which will be the biggest cable. Sometimes they are 20+4 pin or 20 pin depending on what kind of mobo you have, it'll vary.

Also, just for troubleshooting sake, did you try plugging it in in a different outlet to make sure it's not bad power from your house?
