cant wait for this game. the battlefield games are the best war games :thumbup1: wish i could test out the beta when it comes out:(

The only sad part... "XBOX and PS3" that's JUST SAD.... this is a PC game... not a console game... they are focusing now more on consoles... and making the PC games really bad... how long took them to release spect kit on PC? like 8 months? anyway I hope they give us more info about our game... Battlefield FTW!!!

I prefer to wait for actual gameplay trailers and information! But thanks for posting anyway.

DO want. I just hope they have learned from their mistakes from BF2, Im hoping for 32/64 player maps to return, wake island 2011, Commanders were pretty cool, and possibly Fighter jets.

Will pre-order!

But the PC gamers get "special" attention from dice. There had better be jets....

I agree to this fully.

8 maps and I wonder, I hope it won't be another epic fail map creator problem that we gotta pay for 2 to 4 new maps about a week after the game comes out. If the same crap that happened for Medal of Honor comes about I will stick with BC2 and BC2:V

Anyway though I am still glad I bought the Medal of Honor Limited Edition because I am already signed up for B3 beta :P

Sounds really amazing. Hopefully they wont mess up this time. If it turns out to be a success this will kill Insurgency for me. I play it for the realistic gameplay, i have medal of honor too, sure its a good game but its just not as realistic as insurgency gameplay wise.

I hope they make a game where its hard to hit and where you need to search for cover constantly and use teamwork to spot enemies firing point like insurgency.

DICE developers have revealed a few new details on the upcoming Battlefield 3 on Twitter. Lead Designer David Goldfarb has allayed fears that the next Battlefield will be a console port, saying that while the game won?t be exclusive to the PC, the PC version of the game is getting extra attention. More news has emerged on the game?s system specs, too. Battlefield 3 is designed to run with DirectX 11, and won?t run at all on Windows XP.

Responding to questions on Twitter, Goldfarb said the game ?will not be exclusive. We are putting special effort into the pc version, even for us, it?s extraordinary.? This is good news for those who were worried that DICE?s success on the consoles with Battlefield: Bad Company 2 coul make PC version of the game becoming a lower priority. it looks as though the opposite is true.

Meanwhile another DICE dev, Johann Andersson dropped a few details on the system specs that will be needed to run the game, saying that ?Frostbite 2 is primarily developed for DX11. XP & DX9 is _not_ supported, 64-bit OS is recommended. Lots of time to upgrade if you havent!? This will probably mean an upgrade for many. Are you still using Windows XP? Would you upgrade for Battlefield 3?
