I have CS:S and really like it.

I dont know which to get. I really like WWII but it looks like an older version of CS:S and i've never played TF2 so I dont know abut that.

So which is better and which should I get?

So here's the breakdown,

DoD:S is a harder learning curve than CS:S and i'm not sure where TF2 stacks up. TF2 has a lot of customisability which is cool but can lead to unbalanced gameplay, and you you just have to get levels and items to get better.

personally, DoD:S is a much more fun game, and just has better overall gameplay

i have all three games...id say tf2 just from a PERSONAL level i don't like dod because there is no iron sites...idk i can't play WWII style games with no iron sites it KIND OF feels the same as css but its alot different the health adds up differently so its different than css, css u die a few hits, dod everything is either one hit kill or multi hit, tf2 has 9 classes which all have multiple styles of play per class

just my two cents
Dod is a fun game but if someone told me i had to give up either tf2 or DOD forever to never play again id give up dod

There isn't even levels in tf2 >.>, items are all balanced, and in most cases are just sidegrades that fit your playstyle, stock weapons are still preferred in competitive tf2.

Tf2, has a longer lifespan, is getting current content updates, and is a lot more fun to hop into casually. Completely different from any game you probably have played, will spend a lot of time playing it.

is this even a discussion?

its no contest. eGO started with DoD:S. Why not get the game that started this entire organization?

Need further motivation?

Have you heard of DoD:S Realism yet? We run Campaign style tournaments throughout the year that is open to everyone. Not only is it a lot of fun and exciting, its arguably the largest continuously run event that eGO runs! Why not get involved?

wow that was alot of responses!!

well, i'm thinking about getting both now :)

I really love the style that DoD:S is and I want a really fun shooter like TF2 that I can play for a couple of minutes at times

Oh and my specs are not a question. I can play alot of current games at max

Play a couple of minutes at times??? When I first played TF2 on a free weekend.. i didn't even like it that much.. but when it was on sale for $5 and I got it.. I can burn hours and not even realize it.. It's not that it's just SO AWESOME, it's just that you keep telling yourself "gotta win! Gotta get more hats!!! MIIIINNIIIIGUUUNNN!!!!!!" lol

But I would suggest getting both, I like both but I haven't played DoDS in a long time :/ I might have to fix that tomorrow..

TF2, you should get the game for the content, not the community *coughMaccough*

I have all source games and I prefer TF2 over all of them. DoD is just CSS with a World War 2 theme.

Tf2 is near perfectly balanced because of the TF2 beta program, drop weapons are just side upgrades that fit a certain playing style.
